Girl's weekend

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful property! My five friends and I enjoyed our girls weekend in Saugatuck, especially because of this property. It was in a great location. We walked to the many restaurants, bars & cute shops. We liked it so much, we are coming back next summer!

Felt like home!

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from a week in Saugatuck with our family. We loved our stay at the Shoebox Cottage. Everything was just as it appeared in the photos. The house was very clean and well maintained. Also, the owner was very helpful to us in planning this stay. We would certainly recommend this property.

Be sure to visit Marro's in Saugatuck and Salt of The Earth in Fennville for great food.

Virtue Farms in Fennville is a great place for cider tastings.

Great for Girls Trip

  • 5 of 5

Myself and 5 other ladies stayed here recently. We greatly enjoyed The Shoebox. It is very close to all Saugatuck attractions, and a short drive to additional shops and restaurants in Douglas. Take the chain ferry to Oval Beach (or drive if you don't want to walk up the big dune). The backyard was an excellent hang spot for grilling and chilling.

Comfort Abounds

  • 5 of 5

Three of us stayed here while we attended our class reunion at Hope College in Holland,MI. This home is just as pictured, but even more attractive. The sitting area is perfect for 4-6 people. Each of the three bedrooms is a nice size with window and comfortable bedding. The home was spotless and easy to use. All amenities were there. No need to rush to the store for soap, etc. Plenty of hot water too. Because it was cold we didn't use the outdoor area. But in the summer this would add much to your visit. There are 2 or 3 places to relax in sun or shade. The owners obviously take great pride in presenting this home for rental. Saugatuck is a great little town to explore, good shopping, great coffee shop and lovely architecture.

Shoebox Cottage - Highly Recommended

  • 5 of 5

My sisters and I travel annually, and this vacation rivaled any we have experienced largely due to the shoebox cottage accommodations. The house was perfectly suited to our list of preferences. We loved the comfy beds, the large bathrooms and the tasteful and comfortable furniture. The location was perfect, a quick walk to town, but far enough away to escape too much nighttime noise. We loved having breakfast and cocktails in the patio garden. My only disappointment was that the bicycles were locked up. We would have loved to tour the town by bike, but walked and kayaked instead. I would highly recommend the vacation rental.
