My partners and I decided we would purchase a home and furnish it just for folks coming to vacation in Albuquerque. We had such a good response that we have since purchased two other homes in the same town house community (listing #'s 134421 and 200716). New Mexico is such a great place to live that we were excited to share to others.
Thanks for checking out our properties!
Robert Klumpp purchased this townhome in 2007
We had a demanding list of requirements:
- We wanted a home that was convenient to some of the best that Albuquerque has to offer. Great restaurants, shops and museums.
- The home had to be convenient to get to (close to the Interstate).
- The home had to be in a friendly neighborhood that was quiet and safe.
- The floor plan had to provide easy access and sufficient privacy.
The Pueblo del Norte town house community perfectly filled all these requirements.
..We came to New Mexico to escape the cold Michigan winter....Robert was wonderful to work with, very helpful. The townhouse was perfect, had a sweet Southwest atmosphere with a quaint fireplace, two full baths, two outdoor patios, comfortable furniture, very nice, even better than pictured.
...We had an extraordinary time staying so close to Old Town, we stayed in February off season, the shops were not overly busy and it was very easy to park and get around town. The restaurants were outstanding..very cozy.
...We took a ride up to Santa Fe took the Turquoise Trail which was worth the trip in it's self. Santa Fe has a lot to offer but our heart is in Old Town.
...The ride up Route 66 in the Nob Hill area offers friendly antique shops....very cool. Thanks again Robert and we hope to come back soon!

This is a lovely, well kept townhouse in a great location. There are two bedrooms, each with lots of closet space and its own bathroom. The back bedroom is a queen, the front has two doubles. The kitchen is smallish, but incredibly well stocked with every possible pan or utensil. There are wine glasses, a blender, a toaster, a coffee pot and a coffee grinder. We found a nice supply of paper products, as well as basic seasonings in the pantry. There were even extra light bulbs in case one burns out. There is a supply of laundry soap and dryer sheets, dishwasher soap, dish detergent nd other cleaning products in case you need them. The laundry is right off the kitchen. There are extra pillows and blankets if you get cold. If you are here for a long stay, you may need extra hangers. The space is sunny and light, and there is a small paved area outside the back bedroom plus a small enclosed patio, but since we were here in January we could only gaze longingly at them. We stayed for the entire month of January and were impressed with the excellent internet connection, cable TV service and ability to get anywhere in Albuquerque in 15 min with I-40 two blocks away. You can easily walk to Old Town, with all the museums, shops and restaurants. We regularly took our dog to Tiguex Park just off Mountain Road. Robert has a ton of brochures with information on the area and we took full advantage of them. The townhouse development is very quiet and private. The owner made the entire process very simple and professional, but also responded quickly to any inquiries. It was so well handled that we never had any need to call. We would absolutely make this property a first choice when we come back.
Loved location near Old Town. Comfortable decor and great matresses. Only concerns were
1. Lack of lighting for reading in bedrooms and living room.
2.Need specific directions for activating TV
I would recommend this property to anyone. It was in the perfect location to walk the Old Town plus to get to the Balloon Festival. We picked this place because it was easy to get on and off the highways. The property was inviting, clean and laid out perfect for the four of us. It was in a very quiet area, also. I think it could use a little updating but it was kept up clean and cheerful.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone I know. It was in a perfect spot near the highways and easy to get around, plus we were able to walk to the Old Town and have an ice cream every night. We went with our grandson and his girlfriend to see the Balloon Festival and it was just a magic time. The property was very clean and very comfortable. It does need a little updating but that didn't detract from the comfort of our stay.
Golf: Albuquerque's public courses are great and a real bargain!
Ski: Take the scenic Sandia Peak Tramway (the world's longest; about 10 miles away) and ride to the top of Sandia peak for a day of great family skiing. --- Want more? --- Ski Sante Fe (about an hour's drive), visit Taos, Angel Fire or Red River (about 3 hours north) or Ski Apache (about 2 hours south). New Mexico offers some of the best skiing in the country, but don't tell everyone, we like to keep it a secret!
