This very pleasant apartment, 100 square meters (1075 square feet), is located in the heart of 'Le Marais' ( address: Rue des Archives, 3rd Arrondissement ), close to some of the most important sites and museums in Paris. Bright and fully renovated on 2008 by an interior designer, elegantly furnished, it is at the same time intimate and equipped to accommodate a large family.
It consists of:
* a double living room with a dining area and fully equipped kitchen
* a master bedroom and 2 smaller bedrooms :
- the master bedroom has a “queen size” 160 x 200 cm double bed.
- the 2nd bedroom for max 3 persons has bunk beds, with an additional pull-out bed.
- the 3rd bedroom has a bunk bed for 2 persons.
* 2 bathrooms: one with a walk-in shower, hand basin, bidet and toilet; the other with a hand basin and toilet.
Fully equipped with all modern conveniences: air conditioning ( only in the living room with a portable unit) , internet access (also WiFi, but remember to bring your laptop!), TV with international channels, telephone (for incoming calls and local/emergency calls; with a prepaid card you can also call out), iPod dock and CD player, dish washer, washing machine & dryer, Nespresso coffee maker, etc .
The apartment is situated on the third floor (US fourth floor) with elevator-lift.
It is very safe (code at building entrance ) and quiet night and day (double-glazed windows, all bedrooms overlook an internal courtyard).

* Public PARKING facilities available at a nearby garage
* A cleaner is available on request during the rental period, at extra cost.
* There is a PUBLIC GARDEN with a playground for children nearby.

The MARAIS is one of the liveliest - and safest - areas in Paris.
You will find world-famous museums and galleries within easy walking distance, as well as great restaurants and bars, fashion and art/design boutiques, shops of every variety (bakers, greengrocers, daily market), swimming pools, cinemas... There are churches of every denomination.
*** DISTANCES FROM THE APARTMENT
* 1-2 minute's walk: CENTRE POMPIDOU, PICASSO MUSEUM.
* 5-10 minutes' walk: PLACE DES VOSGES, NOTRE-DAME CATHEDRAL, ILE SAINT LOUIS, RIVE GAUCHE/LEFT BANK.
* 10-15 minutes' walk: LOUVRE and the Palais Royal.
The EIFFEL TOWER and MONTMARTRE are also quite near.
* Convenient METRO/ SUBWAY links:
# minute walk to the 'RAMBUTEAU” metro station ( line 11), right next to the Beaubourg/Pompidou Centre
# minute walk to the 'HOTEL DE VILLE” and 'SAINT PAUL' stations (line 1, direct to the Louvre - though that too is within easy walking distance)
# minutes walk to the 'CHATELET-LES HALLES” station, main interlink of 5 metro lines and 2 RER (trains to CHARLES DE GAULLE and ORLY Airports, and to Disneyland).
* There is a N° 75 BUS STOP nearby.
* All TRAIN STATIONS are within easy distance
* A GARAGE PARKING ( 24/24) and a TAXI RANK are located in the immediate vicinity (taxis can also be stopped anywhere).
* Delivery of key: Check In is normally scheduled during the afternoon starting 3.00 pm ; Check Out in the morning before 10.00 am. A different arrangement can be made at your convenience, depending on the availability of the apartment.

Location, location, location, and … location!
All comforts. Design. Light. Location.
My wife and kids spent several days in this apartment during our recent France vacation. Overall, we did not have a good experience. The apartment is clean, nice, and well situated in Le Marais. However, there is considerable construction going on both outside and inside the building. During our stay, the apartment below was being renovated, and unfortunately, we were not informed before our stay. Work started most morning at 7:30am and the noise was beyond comprehension. The building across the street is also undergoing a major renovation. Furthermore, there is a restaurant/bar below which is very noisy on weekends. More importantly, we found the apartment manager to be unwelcoming and very difficult to work with. He has very strict payment terms which includes full payment in cash at time of arrival. I found it to be very scary, carrying 3,000 Euros in cash to a meeting in the street in front of an apartment with a person you haven't met. Also, in our case, it cost us $200 in exchange fees to get the Euros. Furthermore, the manager had slept in the apartment the night before our arrival and still had his stuff in the apartment. After he showed us around and collected our money, he stuck around to finish his emails, etc. while we unpacked (which was very uncomfortable). As a final point, the bathrooms in this apartment are VERY small, even by european standards. If you are over 5'8" or plus size, forget it. Likewise, the elevator is small and fits one person (maybe two very thin people). In my opinion, you can find much friendlier service with another apartment, especially at this price.
Excellent apartment. Just like the photos. Very spacious. Convenient to many attractions and the rail station. Great owner who responds to all inquiries promptly.

We're were disappointed with the apartment as we had not been informed that the whole of the inner courtyard is being refurbished and there is scaffolding up at all the bedroom windows. First of all we had to walk through a shabby entrance which is being worked on. Then all the bedrooms were dark and adults staying in two of the smaller bedrooms on,y had thin curtains and felt they had no privacy and were worried about security. Noisy building work started first thing in the morning.
We were informed that the tiny 3rd bedroom had had water damage, and we had a €100 reduction. So, why were we not told of the major ongoing works to the back of the building? Unfortunately, the whole apartment smelt damp and work surfaces need refurbishment.
The separate toilet is tiny and the wardrobes are locked in the very small 3rd bedroom so there is no storage space.
The location is quite good. But the walking times were longer than claimed in the description. There is long term renovation going on in the building opposite, with a big crane working.
The main room is pleasant and a good size. But having paid a considerable sum for three nights in November, we hoped for something deluxe and not staying in a building site.
We really enjoyed the Marais Archives apartment. Miss Keys showed us everything we needed to know when we arrived. The apartment is very clean & exactly as pictured on the Internet. The multipurpose main room is large and well-furnished, with interesting artwork, stylish lighting, books on Paris, and lots of natural light. It is easy to prepare a meal in the kitchen area.
The main bedroom is pleasant with a very good bed and nice linens, plenty of clothes storage and coat-hangers. The other two bedrooms are very small. The apartment was great for two people and could probably comfortably accommodate two children as well.
The bathroom and powder room are very small. You have to walk around the toilet in the bathroom to get to the shower. This could be a problem for larger people. Despite the size restrictions, however, the bathrooms work well and there are plenty of good quality towels. The rain shower was great. There is plenty of storage for cosmetics in the bathrooms and the mirrors are very well lit which is unusual, even in top hotels. The washer-dryer worked well although we were able to dry our clothes quite efficiently on the drying rack provided.
Rue Archives is generally quiet and we never noticed any noise from the small restaurant below the apartment. The inner courtyard of the apartment building is currently under renovation and the workmen are noisy from 8 AM. There are plenty of good food shops and a covered food market in Rue Bretagne which is a five minute walk away. There is a good Monoprix foodstore in Rue Haudriettes which is even closer. There are also plenty of food shops, restaurants, and a good bookstore in nearby Rue Rambuteau. The apartment is halfway between the Pompidou Centre and the Picasso Museum. It is opposite the Musee de la Chase and near the gardens of the National Archives. You can easily walk to all the wonderful shopping in the Marais, and down to the St Paul area and Isle St Louis. It is a five-minute walk to the nearest metro stop (Rambuteau). This line is not so useful in that it terminates at Chatelet however if you don't mind long walks underground, you can certainly travel anywhere from there.
The main difficulty that we experienced was our taxi not being able to drive up Rue Archives on the Saturday we arrived so we had to walk the last 4.5 blocks.
The courtyard renovation might pose difficulties in summer as dust could mean keeping the bedroom windows closed.
The apartment was absolutely lovely. We had five people there so the extra 1/2 bath was awesome. The apartment was very clean and Miss Keys (who met us) was wonderful. Within walking distance to several train stops and many attractions, restaurants, etc. We would definitely stay there again!

Great overall experience. Flat is spacious, kitchen well-stocked, bedrooms well laid out, comfortable living areas.
Neighborhood is very neat place to stay, lots of culture, you really feel like part of the Community. Enzo owner and his staff are very helpful and friendly and responsive. We had an issue with the stove that was fixed immediately.
Lots of neat restaurants nearby and grocery store right around the corner. Restaurant at bottom of flat is very good and we highly recommend it.
Once you get off train station, it is small hike to get to flat (like other review, maybe issue for older folks). Not issue for us. Otherwise, flat is located fairly close to museums, etc.
I agree with all the other positive reviews. Only problem is we could not stay longer!!

The apartment is centrally located in Paris: in the heart of Marais District ( one of the most safe, lively, central and picturesque neighborhood of the city). Most of the main tourist attractions are within a short walk from the apartment. Plenty of restaurants, bars, groceries, boutiques and design shops. Metro-Underground Stops are minute walk from the apartment.
