I decided to visit NY during the coldest weekend ever!!! And somehow my boyfriend and I still made the best of it. Raymond was a pleasure to meet and I met Linda in passing. I was able to find everything I wanted to visit (Times Square, Flatbush and the wax museum) leaving from where I stayed. The area is nice and I felt safe even when my babe's got stuck in long Island. I ended up meeting with some friends who live here and enjoyed the NBA All Star festivities at Mo's Tavern. I did a little shopping and all in all had a pleasant experience. I'll definitely rent from Raymond and Linda again and I look forward to visiting NY again soon.
We were 3 (2 teens, 1 adult) for which the apartment is suitable. We felt safe at the location and it was convenient to get to the metro going into the city. As everyone mentioned Ray was very nice and helpful.
There are 2 recommendations I would like to leave with Ray: my kids shared the bed and I took the futon. I highly recommend replacing the futon as it felt like I was sleeping on a wooden board. All the blankets I could find did not provide a softer surface (give it a try) . Also I would suggest providing an extension cord for the bathroom as I could not locate an outlet in it (is there one?). It would make it easier for the ladies to dry/style their hair and maybe the men could use it as well.
First time using VRBO and Raymond set the bar high. First off he was very prompt in emailing about the property and every question that I threw his way. Parking was pretty easy and free on a quiet street. Subway station right around the corner (couple of blocks) on a busy street so walking late at night wasn't an issue. The studio was charming we all absolutely loved the bathroom because of the window. There was a little frig, microwave, coffee pot and cups. The place was just perfect for us we wanted to go into the city but on a budget and this place allowed us to that. I will be back to NYC to visit and this will be the first place I try and book again for sure. Definitely recommend.
(Sorry for the delay in writing the review.) I stayed for 6 nights in June, 2015. Ray was wonderful to communicate with, email wise, about the property and neighborhood. It was exactly what I was looking for in my first trip to NYC - staying in an actual "neighborhood" versus a hotel. I can't wait to book my next trip!
We had such a great time staying at Ray's . Close to everything, we soon become locals. Linda and Ray were so helpful and kind and we are booking again for May 2016! Can't wait to hit up Ms Dahlia's cafe again!
Stayed for 11 days Very close to everything! I truly felt as if I was home! Ray and Linda was very good with everything! I will always book this everytime I'm in NYC! Thank you Ray so much for everything!
Other Activities: New York City shopping, restaurants, theatre, sightseeing, and spas
