We love Maui Kai. It's an oceanfront gem. It's a second home for us, so it's furnished with everything we'd want in a home away from home. We're SCUBA divers (the owner photo was taken off Airport Beach about a half mile south), and love being so close to the water. We love it, and know you will too.

What makes this condo unique

206 is a spacious studio, and we've done everything we can to open it up so it doesn't feel cramped like a hotel suite. Spectacular views of Lanai and Molokai across the channel. We love watching the whales during their annual visits. The West Maui trade winds keep Maui Kai comfortable year round. And we love our little corner of Kaanapali, close enough to Lahaina and the big Kaanapali and Kapalua resorts for shopping and entertainment, but far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet of the ocean.

FLIPKEY VERIFIED: 5 Star: "EVEN BETTER THAN ADVERTISED" : " We recently enjoyed a 10-day stay at the Maui Kai Beach Resort unit 206. When we arrived, the unit was in sparkling condition, including all promised amenities in excellent working condition and then some. A gift basket containing local fruit and other goodies was an especially pleasant surprise. As promised, the location of the condo was ideal for beach and especially whale watching; we saw many whales every day from the comfort of our room. We even saw large sea turtles in the ocean right below our window a couple of times. The wall bed was comfortable, and it was nice to be able to put the bed away during the day, allowing us more space for other activities during the day. The kitchen was nicely equipped with everything we needed. The owners also provided a well-organized notebook with recommendations for activities, restaurants, etc. The condo location is truly ocean front; from our room, we were often closer than many people sitting on the beach next door. There is also a nice, paved "beachwalk" that starts one property south of the Maui Kai and goes all the way to the South end of Kaanapali beach. This made it easy to walk to other parts of the beach for snorkeling and swimming and avoided parking headaches. The pool at the condo complex is small, but the spa is large and relaxing. The condo complex is nicely situated within easy walking distance of several grocery stores, a farmer's market, interesting shops and restaurants. This was our firsts visit to Maui, and we would not hesitate to stay at Maui Kai unit 206 again."

We stayed in Number 206 booked through Pam and Brad. A beautiful setting with large windows overlooking the ocean. Listening to the lapping waves day and night was so relaxing. They even drowned out my husband's snoring so I got a restful sleep too. The information before arriving was helpful and the welcome basket on arrival was very generous with lots of local Maui goodies! The accommodation was very clean and stocked with everything you might need. What we loved was the fact that we could access the 1-1/2 mile beach just outside so we could enjoy long walks and swims every day easily. The boardwalk and many restaurants and shops all in walking distance. Organised alot of tours that kept us busy too- Marwick Helicopter to falls and rainforest, guided tour of Pearl Harbor and Honolulu city tour, scuba diving, Mick Fleetwood music night at his gallery, Sunset Dinner Cruise and Whale watching. Enjoyed the village of Lahaina with many shops and restaurants that was just a short drive away. Packed alot in during the ten days we stayed. Thank you Pam and Brad for sharing this beautiful place and accommodation with us! Mahalo nui loa

Perfect spot in Kaanapali, gorgeous waterfront location

My husband and I loved this studio condo with a pull down bed, fully equipped kitchen, and incredible views of Molokai, Lanai, and passing whales. The location is extremely convenient to the nearby boardwalk which goes along Kaanapali beach and within walking distance of several wonderful restaurants. We were extremely happy with the friendly and helpful folks in the front office and liked that this condo is located in a smaller building among huge resorts. A gem.

Absolutely perfect

We had already been on Maui for 2 weeks and decided to stay another week and found this Maui Kari 206 last minute and the Risinger & Hurte Families made it possible for us to stay with only less then a days notice. They had the place so clean and beautiful. The bed was very conformtable and so was the room. The view was amazing. I loved the fact that the bed went into the wall giving the room a more spacious look. We will be back for sure and we will be staying here. It was by accident that we found this place but it was total fate. Thank you so much for making our extra week the best week of our vacation. Mahalo

Beautiful view with the magic of waking up each morning to the sound of the ocean.

We rented the condo for our honeymoon and absolutely loved our stay. The best part I have to say was the great ocean front view and being able to keep our window open while closing the screen allowing us to hear the ocean at all times. Nice location with super market in walking distance along with coffee shop and nice breakfast restaurant. Good information left in the room for restaurants/tourism and were pleasantly surprised to find netflix available in the room.

Maui Kai is just minutes north of Lahaina, with great shopping, restaurants, art, history, and entertainment. When you're tired of the beach, stroll down Front Street, pop into some art galleries (particularly on Friday Night Art Night – enjoy a drink while you're browsing), watch the sunset, do some shopping, and maybe enjoy a great Lappert's Ice Cream. Take the submarine tour of the reefs. Sign up for a whale watching tour from Lahaina Harbor. We love Trilogy and Pacific Whale Foundation for snorkeling trips to Molokini, Lanai, and places around West Maui. Once you've seen a sunset from Maui Kai 206, you'll want to see the sunrise from Haleakala - you have to get up VERY early, but it's a spectacular view. There are operators who guide mountain bike tours down Haleakala. We enjoy the Maui Tropical Plantation (on the road to Wailuku) and the Maui Aquarium. There's lots of great golf around Maui, but lately we've enjoyed Kahili - great views, great golf. If you want a different Maui experience, Kula Lodge in Maui upcountry (halfway up Haleakala in Kula) has good food and spectacular views of the islands. One of our favorite breakfast places is the Gazebo in Napili, only open for breakfast and lunch. Park at the Napili Shores and walk to the center courtyard, down by the pool. You have to get up early for this one – they open at 7:30, but people usually start lining up at 7; there aren't a lot of tables, so arriving later may entail a long wait. They put free coffee out for the early birds – you may want to do this earlier in your vacation while your body clock is still on mainland time. Their banana-macadamia nut pancakes and eggs Benedict are terrific. We recommend splitting an order of each – a common request that they readily accommodate. It overlooks Napili Bay, which is one of the prettiest spots in West Maui.
