Homely holiday cottage near to Ingleton and Kirkby Lonsdale: rural/quiet
Nestling along a country lane and approached via a short well maintained track, our pretty cottage is peacefully situated in 8 acres of our private grounds. Bideber Mill Cottage forms part of what was originally a corn mill dating back in parts to 1527 it has a calm and cosy ambience from the minute you step inside. It has been lovingly updated and modernized but still incorporating features including exposed beams, flagstone floor to the kitchen, solid oak floor in the bedroom. It offers, well equipped and very comfortable accommodation in this peaceful and unspoilt area. Surrounded by open countryside and spectacular scenery with walks and bridleways from the doorstep it is an ideal country retreat for a relaxing holiday or for exploring the delights and natural beauty of this tranquil haven: The property is a 25 minute walk of the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail and the lovely Village of Ingleton.The character villages of Dent and Hawes are a 40 minute drive away, the whole of the Yorkshire Dales, Windermere and the splendour of The Lake District, West Coast, The Forest of Bowland and the Three Peaks are within 3/4 hour drive. This is an ideal location base for the famous THREE PEAKS walk .There is a shop selling local produce, coffee shop/cafe and pub just 1 mile away and Ingleton famous for the waterfalls trail, and caves. The lively market town of Kirkby Lonsdale 'Gateway to the Lakes' is just a 10 minute drive away

Owners live on site to assist. Sunset View bungalow- another 2 person holiday let is also at this location
First Floor: 1 bedroom with king size bed, en-suite shower room with large shower cubicle, WC, wash hand basin and heated towel rail.
Facilities: Electric cooker, microwave, larder fridge, table top freezer, kettle, toaster. Washer iron/ironing board. TV, DVD, radio/CD player. Selection of books. Bed linen and towels provided. Oil fired central heating and all electricity included. Hairdryer. Large paved patio with tables and chairs.
All bookings are provided with a generous complementary welcome food hamper, toiletries and linen/towels at no extra cost.

About Julie Day
Julie and Vince are proud of the successful holiday cottage business that is now in its 10th year . We are very busy from march-October, often with guests returning every year. We are smallholders as a hobby, Vince runs a joinery business from home, Julie is a retired Nurse. We live on site and can therefore be to hand throughout your stay, to ensure that your every need is catered for.

Amazing holiday cottage
This lovely old cottage is situated in peaceful country side with plenty of places to visit in the vicinity. The cottage is very spacious and so well equipped with everything you could possible need for a holiday. The welcome pack including milk, fresh bread, home made jam and more meant that we did not have to find a shop the day we arrived. The owners made us feel very welcome and we would not hesitate to stay there again if we were to visit the Yorkshire Dales in the future.

Beautifully presented in a wonderfully peaceful location
A lovely cottage in a peaceful location with easy access to the main routes. The arrival hamper was a wonderful surprise and greatly appreciated after our longer than anticipated journey time caused by a number of accidents. The cottage was beautifully presented and contained everything we needed and more. We did experience the WiFi dropping out several times and accepted this might have been as a result of being in a rural location. Overall perfect for a base from which to explore the area
Thank you for your very positive review. We do try to "go the extra mile" to ensure that our guests have a holiday to remember. We are sorry about the WiFi- it has been an issue with BT since it was installed in 2009. In spite of a new hub and many engineers visits- it is due to our rural location , and at present is something we have learned to live with. We hope it did nit cause too much inconvenience. A haven of peace and tranquility
The cottage is beautiful and full of character. The facilities are 1st class.
It is in a great area for visits to the Dales and further afield .
We really enjoyed our time there and the owners were very helpful .

Close to ingleton village with the famous waterfalls trail and caves. easy access to Yorkshire dales, lake District and Lancashire. Close to Settle -Carlisle railway for scenic journey by rail. The cottage is located close to amenities but set in 9 acres of private land. Fields to 3 sides of the property. Owners live on site to facilitate a comfortable stay with help on hand if needed. The cottage oozes charm and character and forms part of a converted corn mill- parts dating back to the reign of Henry V111.
