Greystones Cottage has a prime location in the Borrowdale Valley in the popular village of Grange. The property is owned by an architect and is full of charm, character and luxurious touches. Sleeping 4 guests in a double and a twin bedroom the cottage is perfect for families, friends and couples.

You can enjoy panoramic views over Borrowdale fells from the windows and discover some of the best walks in the Lake District from your own front door - Catbells, Castle Crag, Scafell and more!

The cottage has a wood burning stove in the living room, Wi-Fi and stylish furnishings throughout.

Grange village has two cafes and two very good hotel bars.

Keswick town is just a 5 minute walk away and here you will find streets lined with pubs, shops, restaurants, cafes and attractions. Derwentwater has regular cruises offering tours around the lake or visit the famous Theatre by the lake which has a year round programme.

Borrowdale is one of the most beautiful valleys in the Lake District and Alfred Wainwright described it as a 'pageant of beauty from end to end.

Discover hundreds of walks from the front door at Greystones either along the River Derwent or over the mountains and fells. Climb Catbells, the family-friendly mountain and continue on to Maiden Moor and beyond. Or for a serious hiking challenge, try Scafell Pike. You can reach this mighty mountain by walking along the valley floor or driving up to Rosthwaite and parking at the farm there.

For a different adventure, visit Honister Mine. There are regular mine tours or thrill seekers might fancy their via ferrata and infinity bridge.

The Borrowdale Gates Hotel at Grange is great to go for a drink or some Cumbrian food and Greystones is next to a fantastic cafe.

We ask for a deposit of a third to be paid upon booking with the balance being due six weeks in advance. If we are less than six weeks away from your arrival, you will be asked for the full amount. Pay by cheque, card or bank transfer. Cheques are to be made payable to Sally Ltd and sent to us at 7 St John's Street, Keswick, Cumbria, CA12 5AP.

Manager's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 7 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
