If we were asked to pick one word to describe this spot it would have to be magical. Both the nicely restored home and its location set amongst fields and trees are truly special. We were there with our former exchange student from Berlin from years ago who is now married with two kids. All of us enjoyed how well setup the house was with everything needed for a great reunion. The nearby town of La Bisbal is great with a lively market day, and great shops and restaurants everyday. But the best part of our visit was how warm and friendly everyone was, especially David and Nuria with their two cute little boys (hopefully they will pop over to California for a visit some day)
Wonderful quiet stay!
This property is beautiful and has everything we needed for our stay (one family with 3 children ages 7, 12 and 14 yrs). The kids loved getting the fresh eggs from the henhouse, the garden opening on the fields was perfect for reading and relaxing and nice trails are just out the door for walking or jogging. Perratallada is a gem of a village and is within walking distance (if you like to walk). The house was well equipped including cooking utensils, pool table and tv (which we didn't watch but it was there...). The only beach we visited was in Pals-Platja, a little drive away : it's a nice sandy beach even if some of the buildings in the resort are not the nicest (and may indicate that the beach is more crowded during peak season?).
In short, this is a perfect house if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing and beautiful place for nature lovers!
It makes us extremely happy that our guests enjoy the house and its surroundings and that they aprecciate its beauty and tranquility . hope to see you soon !
Fantastic family holiday house
we had the most wonderful holiday at this rural farmhouse with our three kids. The house is clean, renovated and beautifully situated between two mideval towns close by. We all loved the hens on the farm and getting eggs every morning. Tons of things to play with for the kids. David and Nuria Wekre such sweet landlords. Staying here a week was truly our dream holiday and we are for sure coming back. Marit, Norway
This house is going to steal your heart.
Like it did to me.
First, by it's location. It's 20 minutes away from anywhere: by car to the best beaches of Costa Brava; by bike to one of the most amazing natural parks, Les Gavarres; and by foot to the most beautiful town in the province, Peratallada.
Second, by the house itself. Although it was built more than 300 years ago, it has a XXIst century spirit. The outside perfectly preserved and the inside totally modern, with a 5 stars equipment (appliances, security, WiFi, superb Home Cinema...)
You can really enjoy the Morning Glory while you have breakfast in the porch, eating your freshly picked fruits, eggs and tomatoes, enjoying the calm and the views.
The garden is perfectly maintained, and one of the most amazing things was to let the hens go out and watch them run free in the garden.
And inside the house, you feel at home. Cozy and clean, you could live there all year round. It's the typical environment perfect for writing a book!
And third, by the owners. You can really feel how much they love the house. And they want you to love it, by giving you all facilities and advice you need. They told us beautiful places to visit, and David, who knows the area perfectly, pointed me to the best MTB tracks. By the way, for all the MTB lovers, the area is full of tracks, for anyone... easy ones and extreme ones!
This house has been my Summer Love, honestly. Like all Summer Loves, you enjoy them as much as you can, every minute, but at the end, there's always that bittersweet taste of farewell… expecting to meet her next year.
