My family and I recently spent a long weekend at this cozy cabin overlooking beautiful Lake Wallenpaupack. This cabin & property was exactly what we had hoped it would be - quiet, peaceful, neat, clean and beautiful. The views through the large picturesque window in the living room were stunning! The fireplace was so easy to use and really kept us warm. The kitchen was stocked with dishes, condiments, cleaning supplies and everything you need to cook or bake. The bedrooms were clean and the beds were more comfortable than we had expected. Our 3 children LOVED the loft area!!! They spent much of their time while in the cabin up in the loft playing house, coloring in their coloring books, peaking out the skylight and thankfully they slept like babies.
We were blessed with perfect fall weather so we enjoyed sunsets each evening and star filled nights. Although the dock and rowboat were unavailable (they were already pulled for the season), we spent our days skipping rocks, fishing and strolling alongside the crystal clear lake. It was late in the season for fishing so we didn't catch anything unfortunately, but the kids perfected their cast and simply loved it. We also enjoyed a campfire in their outdoor firepit each evening.
We ventured out one afternoon and drove through downtown Hawley. Everyone we met along the way was friendly and the town was quaint. We picked up a pizza at Mike's Pizzeria (that was very tasty) and brought it back to the cabin - we didn't want to miss the sunset!
Overall, we would definitely recommend this property to other renters. We hope to go back again sometime in the spring or summer months so we can enjoy playing on the lake - boating & fishing. However....the fall was SO cozy with the leaves changing and crisp air. It was perfect and exactly what we needed AND wanted.
My husband and I have been staying here for a couple years now. We have made so many wonderful memories here and have met some of the year round neighbors now (we always go during the fall). I love the location and how close it is to everything in the area. I always love where the cabin sits on the lake as I have captured so many gorgeous sunrises and sunsets on film. The owner's are professional and easy to work with. They keep this cabin in great shape!
Very nice cozy cabin. Owners were friendly to work with. Having your own dock is a huge plus! Kitchen had everything we needed. Great location close to Hawley and to some small hiking areas. Thanks!
First of all what a great couple Bill and Amy are. I had some timing issues and they were great to work with, thoroughly accommodating. The cabin and property were just what we were looking for; casual, peaceful, beautifully serene. We will return whenever possible.
A wonderful place to stay...cabin is exactly as described and better...situated directly on the lake with wonderful views...we were 4 adults and we found it to be very comfortable....bedrooms are a comfortable size and the loft is very spacious ...the property was snow covered but driveways and walkways were well maintained ...the interior was clean and well stocked with kitchen amenities, beds were very comfortable and the gas fireplace was convienient and cozy..the photos are a good representation ....the owners were very nice and a breeze to work with...within the cabin they provided a basket just filled with flyers of area businesses and attraction...we enjoyed and entire evening at Ehrhart's Waterfront Resort which is only minutes away...we had a delicious dinner and drinks followed by a great comedy show...during the day we really enjoyed the snowmobiling and ice fishing...we enjoyed everything about this trip and would strongly recommend this location....so much so that we will be returning in the nice weather too
This cabin is in a geat location and always well kept. Has been a gem for us for many years now. We love renting here and will continue to do so for many years to come. A great peaceful place to unwind, and remember to bring your boat or waverunners ! The owners Amy and Bill are very nice and easy to deal with. Thanks so much for many great memories with my kids !
