About Pam Pringle, Owner
We travel globally and prefer a vacation rentals to hotels. So we understand what separates the best from the rest when it comes to accommodations. Little things... and attention to details make a difference and we have reflected that philosophy in our home. We built this custom award winning (Best Vacation Home) timber framed home in 2006/2007.
Pam Pringle, Owner purchased this Cabin in 2006
Why Pam Pringle, Owner chose Franklin
We fell in love with area and it's great central location. Franklin is a quaint small town with friendly people. We have terrific restaurants nearby. And, it's out of the way of noisy tourism but easy to get to all surrounding areas such as Asheville, Bryson City, Cherokee, The Smoky Mountain National Park, Sylva, Dillsboro. Hiking to waterfalls and taking scenic drives with a picnic is a couple of our favorite things to do.
What makes this Cabin unique
The views are incredible and our area is such a quiet and serene spot to escape from the stresses and hectic schedule of city life. We've even thought of hiking sticks, coolers, picnic baskets and our activity books will keep you busy and coming back time and time again. So much to do, or do nothing!
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
This is a wonderful house for relaxing, reading a book or just spending time with family or friends. Downtown Franklin has some quaint shops with more opening soon. Close to everything in the mountains you could possibly desire to do. Will visit again!
Thanks Kris - so sorry the weather didn't cooperate, but maybe that was a good thing so you could take a break and escape. I'm sure it's much needed with owning a Cafe.
Til next time...
Beautiful, private property that was meticulously maintained.
Outstanding property! We had a terrific stay. Pam was so caring and responsive, and put a lot of time in to ensure we had a perfect stay. We really appreciated that the house was so well maintained and equipped/stocked with all the little extras that would have required multiple runs to a store to pick up (laundry soap, spices and condiments, etc.). Delightful stay; highly recommend!!
Kathy - thank you, so happy you noticed all the little extras. I certainly try to think of everything to make our guests stay as comfortable as possible. I hope you'll think of us again when you travel our way in the future.
Beautiful and imaculately kept home
My brother and I brought our mom to The Pond as a surprise to celebrate her 60th birthday. From the moment we drove up, we knew we were in paradise. The inside furnishings did not disappoint, and the views from the deck were breathtaking. We will definitely be back!
So happy you chose our home for this wonderful and memorable birthday celebration. What thoughtful "children" you are.
We hear of so many special moments at our home, and this one tops the list. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of such a terrific gift.
Come back any time!
Fabulous NC house
We live in Oklahoma and chose the North Carolina mountains for our 50th wedding anniversary celebration with our two children. The Pond house was our home for over a week. We absolutely loved it. We ended up not doing most of the things on our list because of a health problem but It turned out great because Pam’s house is so wonderful. We rested and enjoyed the views and scenery. We loved the screened in patio! We used the kitchen every day which is something we don’t usually do when we are on vacation. The kitchen is fantastic. We loved this Franklin house and will book it again when we get back to NC. Thanks Pam and Tony.
Great Mountain Getaway!
We really enjoyed our stay at The Pond! Pam (owner) is wonderful - she has thought of everything! Tony (manager) is very welcoming & full of answers for any question you may have about the house & area. The home is cozy and comfortable with all of the amenities. The kitchen is one of the best that we have seen in all of our vacation rentals. We loved the outdoor screened porch and fireplace - a great place to make s’mores & have a glass of wine. 2 master bedroom suites - an added plus.
Pam even has reference BOOKS of hikes, excursions, restaurants - anything & everything you might want to do in Franklin & the surrounding areas. We hiked the Rufus Morgan Trail - moderate hike with pretty waterfalls & streams. Walking sticks are by the front door to use during your stay. The Currahee Brewing Company on the river was a nice place to relax and enjoy a drink. Also enjoyed Rathskeller in downtown Franklin, an eclectic coffee house/tavern/bakery that has live music too.
We will definitely return to The Pond sometime in the near future. Thanks again Pam!
Kelley - thank you so much for such a great review. We look forward to your return visit one day.
