Our home is heated and cooled with central heat and A/C to offer the greatest comfort. The four bedrooms--three queens and one twin bed bedroom plus a queen sofa bed in the living room and a roll-away single bed for an extra guest--can accommodate up to 8 adults and 2-3 children. The house is amply spacious and comfortably furnished to instill an at-home feeling for your important stay. One of the most wonderful things about our house is the large comfy screened in porch. About Roberta Hare
Jack and Roberta Hare The proud owners of 1611 Columbia Avenue in Port Royal, S.C. We are residents of Southern New Jersey, but hope to make Port Royal our permanent home. Until then we have the satisfaction and pleasure of sharing our home with wonderful people who may find our home their home-away-from home. We love Port Royal and its beautiful, peaceful surroundings.
Roberta Hare purchased this House in 2008
Why Roberta Hare chose Port Royal
Port Royal and the surrounding areas are truly a taste of the South. The pace and friendly people are a respite from our crazy Northeast life style. One day there and the tension melts away. Our home is furnished as a 'lived in' home, not a rental property. We think you'll feel 'at home' while staying with us!
What makes this House unique
Port Royal village, where the house is located, is isolated from the busier roadways and commercial areas. Once you turn into the Village of Port Royal, off Route 802, there's a distinct atmosphere of calm, quiet and life at a much slower pace. There is no through traffic into the town; and, our home sits on a dead end street so there are very few cars that pass by the house any time of the day or night. Even so, if you want modern life's amenities, they're less than a minute drive away.

It was amazing and so close to Parris Island. The home did have a funky smell upon entering but I believe it was because it had been closed up for a little. The house was very clean, tidy and spacious.
I totally recommend and if I ever vacation or visit South Carolina again, I will definitely stay here!
Wonderful stay in a quiet neighborhood!!
We had a absolute wonderful stay. Very clean and spacious house. Nice quiet neighborhood. We loved sitting out on the screened in porch listening to the birds and the squirrels. Would book again if we were in the area.
Beautiful and spacious!
We loved our stay here! Beautiful home and plenty of room for our stay. Very close to Paris Island for Marine graduation and the homeowner even helped with how to plan for graduation. Will book again if back in the area!
This house was perfect for my family. It had the perfect amount of room for us that no one was crowded and my grandsons had enough space for their toddler stuff. We were so close to base that we never had an issue getting to our events. I would highly recommend this home to all
The travel was a little rough due to the fact they had snow down the whole eastern coast. The house saved us. It was so close to the Marine Base. Great local eateries. Close to everything needed.
this home was perfect
This home was more than perfect for our family to stay in. We came to watch my granddaughter graduate from the US Marine Corp and bring her home. It couldn't have been in any more of a perfect location and quiet neighborhood. I really liked that there was a security light in the driveway which made it so easy to find since we got in after dark. The home was neat and rooms were very nice. Thank you so very much from a grateful family of one the of newest US Marine Corp members.
