Originally from the Washington, DC area, our family has enjoyed vacationing at the DelMarVa beaches over the years, and chose Rehoboth for its proximity to several major metro areas ... a logical gathering place for our family reunions and beach vacations. Our home is nicely situated in a quiet residential section of South Rehoboth, just a block from the beach and Silver Lake, and we enjoy getting away to the peace and tranquility it affords. We are confident you will enjoy it as well!
The Smith Family purchased this house in 2007
Rehoboth Beach is the 'Nation's Summer Capital', conveniently located in Southern Delaware approximately 2.5 hours from the major metropolitan areas of Washington, DC, Baltimore and Annapolis, MD and Philadelphia, PA. We're also just 15 minutes from the Cape May-Lewes ferry terminal, with easy access to the New Jersey shore.
Our church choir and their families retreated to Rehoboth for a weekend of fellowship and singing in September. The house was perfect for our needs. Large, comfortable, well-appointed and well-maintained in a quiet residential area of the town. Added plusses were the hot tub, proximity to the beach and restaurants, a large kitchen and eating area and a large screened front porch. Highly recommended for families!
Another excellent stay for the extended family! One of our favorite things about the house is we can park the car in the driveway and walk or ride our bikes wherever we want to go- the kids can go down to the boardwalk for Kohrs Brothers ice cream as we adults head to the bar for some oysters and a glass of beer. And in the evening we all gather on the porch to play a game. Our fourth visit to Seahorse Crossing did not disappoint!
We truly enjoyed our stay at Seahorse Crossing! With kids outnumbering the adults this home was perfect for us. Plenty of bedrooms for all, and the cottage was a plus for the early risers to stay in! Location cannot be beat, neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. The evening with Chef Gary was so relaxing, and the food was amazing! We'll be returning next year and hopefully many more to come.
We had a wonderful experience at Sea Horse Crossing. Everything was even nicer than I expected. One of the nicest aspects of the property is the many different and lovely seating areas. Our party included teens, young children and adults. The many different seating venues allowed everyone to be together and apart at the the same time. The owner was very helpful and always responsive to my calls and e-mails. Rehoboth Beach is one of the nicest beaches on the East coast. It has fabulous restaurants and shops which are all within walking distance of Sea Horse Crossing. We parked our car when we arrived and didn't use it again until we left. I wholeheartedly recommend staying at Sea Horse Crossing.
Beautiful home & guest cottage-everything new and in pristine condition from top to bottom, we felt like we were staying in a nice hotel. We loved the hot tub, large updated kitchen, washer/dryer, screened in porch and large master bedroom suite was a plus. Proximity to boardwalk and beach was excellent, 1.5 blocks. Only short walk to Rehoboth Ave/shops/etc. We had 15 people and there was plenty of room for everyone. Everyone is already asking me if we can book now for next Labor Day weekend! I hope to try the Private Dining experience during our next stay. And thank you to the owners for the wonderful surprise on the porch when we arrived! A very nice touch. I would highly recommend this beach house.
A magical property for an extended family reunion. Kitchen is better equipped than my own at home! House is much bigger than it looks from the outside. Bedrooms are very nice. Landscaping creates a nice sense of privacy. Owner was extremely helpful when he had questions. And the private chef is an experience not to be missed!
Located on one of the most desirable and quiet, tree-lined streets in old Rehoboth, just a block or so away from beautiful 'Silver Lake' and one block from the famed Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk and Atlantic Ocean, this home is ideally suited for your next family vacation or retreat! It's a 3-minute walk to the sandy shores of the Atlantic Ocean! Walk or bike to shopping, dining, or attractions ... or just relax on the screened-in front porch and wander away inside a great book!
