Loft style apartment with great views of Ben Wyvic and the Cromarty Firth.

Located in the small hamlet of Easter Kinkell, only a fifteen minute drive from Inverness, this lovely one bedroom converted loft apartment is perfect for a relaxing break for two. Enjoy spectacular views from the elevated balcony towards the Moray Firth and Ben Wyvis and unwind in the peaceful countryside setting.

Short breaks are available from three nights upwards throughout the year. The modern, newly upgraded loft conversion is ideal for holidaymakers and business users alike, with everything you could need for a comfortable self-catering stay.

The towns of Conon Bridge and Dingwall are not far from Easter Kinkell, with shops, banks, a post office and eateries. Inverness is a short drive away with its shops and supermarkets, cinema, bars, cafes, restaurants and Eden Court Theatre. Inverness also has a number of transport links for touring the wider Highland region, with many tour opportunities available.

Maple Cottage Apartment is ideally located for exploring the North and West Highlands, the Black Isle and the Moray Coast, as well as the Inverness area, with a range of attractions and activities on offer nearby.

Accommodation & Facilities

Double bedroom: double bed, dressing table, walk in wardrobe.

Shower room: WC and shower.

Open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area: couch and arm chair, dining table seating two, TV and DVD player, small selection of DVDs and audio unit with radio and CD player. There is ample space in which to relax and enjoy the beautiful views through the French windows.

Kitchen: fully fitted modern kitchen with electric appliances such as washer/drier, dishwasher etc.

There is private parking outside the holiday apartment, a small area for barbeques and garden furniture on the veranda.

All bed linen, towels and electricity are included in the price.

We are unable to accept any pets and no smoking is permitted within the holiday home. At present we are unable to provide Wi-Fi or internet access.

Beautiful place for a holiday

Third time we have stayed at Maple Cottage Apartment. It has everything you could want, comfortable and beautifully furnished. It is in a lovely setting and within a short drive of several towns and villages round about.

Great apartment, excellent location

The first thing that strikes on arrival is the fantastic view from the balcony, all the more fascinating in the typical Scottish ever-changing weather. The apartment is very well located and proved an excellent base for several activities: walking, dolphin watching, visiting castles and distilleries (the Speyside is not far away). Brian was extremely friendly and helpful, the apartment is spacious and couldn't be more comfortable. For people a little picky about sleeping, the bed might prove to be a little to the small side, otherwise everything was perfect.

Great property with friendly owners, in an ideal location.

Lovely and light property, and very quiet. Spacious for a 1-bedroom apartment, with comfortable seating for relaxing after a day exploring. Plenty of storage space too.

The balcony is a bonus - wonderful in sunshine, but provides amazing views whatever the weather and for sunsets over Ben Wyvis.

Home from home

Our third stay - love this place. A few things to be aware of - there is no Wi-Fi but mobile reception is good; the track to the cottage is quite bumpy and the stairs [outside] can be a bit slippery and wouldn't suit someone who was disabled.

Otherwise it is perfect - homely, warm and comfortable with stunning views over Ben Wyviss and the Cromarty Firth to Dingwall.

Milk, biscuits and a bottle of wine to welcome you and plenty of information about the local area as well as books and maps. And for meals the Storehouse is just over the Firth This time the weather excelled itself being warmer and sunnier than down south. Even managed a day trip driving to Durness and along the north coast to Dunnet Head - a long day but spectacular.

Car: necessary

It is advisable to have a car if you are staying at Maple Cottage Apartment. Travelling north on the A9 cross the Kessock Bridge and take the 3rd exit toward Thurso and Wick at the Tore roundabout. Continue for approximately 3 miles and then turn left following the signposts for Easter Kinkell on the B9169. Continue on this road for just over a mile into Easter Kinkell, pass the school on the right and then take the first left just past the Alcaig sign. Continue up the hill and Maple Court Cottage is the first road on the right. Drive around to the back of the cottage and you will see Maple Cottage Apartment directly to the side of the cottage.
