Hello, I am a snowboard fanatic, I got in 50 days last season
The Owner purchased this condo in 2008
I have a season snowboard pass
Close to the mountain and town
On a whim, we decided to go to Mammoth for my 40th birthday with my family. Jeff's place was available at a decent price so I jumped on it. For the smallish size condo, you get a very well organized and set up place with everything you could possibly need. In fact, the use of space was impressive and made it feel like a bigger place than it was.
It was clean, with plenty of towels and linens. It easily sleeps four, but if you're family or don't mind close quarters I'd say it is worth asking the owner if you have an extra adult (the couches are huge). That's the other thing about this place: you get to work directly with the owner, not some management company. Jeff was very accommodating, flexible and responsive (and a super nice guy who we ran into at the jacuzzi). This was especially important for us for check-in and check-out since we were coming up with a 2 year old, and my older parents and sister who don't ski.
Only downsides I could think of was that the carpet could use an upgrade and there were a few spots near the edges where the nails holding it down were poking through a bit. Also, the dining chairs and tables could use a little tightening up as they were wobbly (as a toddler father, you notice these things).
In summary, this is a homey place with everything you need for a comfortable Mammoth trip, including a wood stove, wifi, the jacuzzi just a few doors down, easy access to Mammoth Mountain (Canyon lodge), etc. If you're looking for luxury, it might not be a fit for you; otherwise it is a very convenient and comfortable place with just about everything you can ask for (we brought up our own coffee grinder but didn't need to!).
Stayed here for 3 days and loved it.
Jeff the owner was super to work with, very helpful and accommodating with flexible arrival and check out times! He was available via e-mail and phone calls right away before and during our stay when we had questions.
Condo had everything we needed, 2 separate sleeping areas and bathrooms, nicely stocked kitchen, great working heater and since we are working professional a reliable and good WIFI was a must and this condo did deliver it all!
The only reason I didn't give it a 4 start is that we all would have preferred a little softer mattress.
But it's a personal choice I realize that.
Spa was in close walking distance and not crowded. (we had it ourselves every night)
We like to take off from Canyon Lodge in the morning and it's a 2min. car ride or 5 min. walk.
Very convenient as you can sleep in and still get a spot front row and just ski down to the chair.
We would stay there again. (and bring a foam pad to allow some gentle softness around our aching bodies at night.)
My condo is not kid friendly. Please contact me more information.
