We are in the Monteverde Vecchio (from greenish tint tuff that make up the hill) .This leafy district place behind the Janiculum which offers the most 'beautiful view of Rome, is universally recognized as one of the most elegant and welcoming of all citta'.I his views have made Monteverde Vecchio the ideal set for numerous films and photo shoots Monteverde Vecchio made the star of movies and photographic shoots. They filmed in Monteverde Vecchio Woody Allen, Paolo Sorrentino, Federico Fellini, Pier Paolo Pasolini and recently the latest 007 film.
E 'perfectly situated: central enough to be a 30-minute walk from Trastevere, but enough to feel distant from the urban chaos and smog of the city center.
Thanks to the great Villa Pamphili, Villa Sciarra and the Janiculum, tanks green neighborhood, the air is noticeably cooler and less polluted than even in Trastevere which is just ten minutes down the hill. The traffic is mostly local, with good parking .The public transport is good and easy to reach Piazza Venezia, the very heart of the city and Termini Station.
Outdoor bars restaurants and ice cream shops are scattered around the neighborhood.
It 'a fact that those who come to live here, hard to leave. Monteverde Vecchio district is a multi-lingual. Many foreign institutions such as the American Academy, American University of Rome, Institutum Romanum Norvegiae are based here.
From the apartment you can easily reach on foot or by public transport, the historical center. According to Google Maps these are the distances and the time needed to walk to some destinations:
§ Janiculum (1.2 km-15 minutes),
§ Vatican (2.3 km -32 minutes)
§ Piazza Venezia, the heart of the city (2.7 km -36 minutes)
§ Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere (1.7 km- 25 minutes).
§ Stazione Trastevere (2.2km-30 minutes).
Near the apartment are many shops:

Ciao Jim Vestergaard

We Are in Monteverde Vecchio District. Terrace Pamphili is located in Monteverde Vecchio, (or Green Hill from the greenish TINF of the tuff Which is made of the hill) the district situated on the hill That overlooks the center of the city, Whose slopes reach the district of Trastevere and Borgo Pio , the tangle of alleys around the St. Peter's Basilica. Monteverde is a neighborhood full of green: the walk of the Janiculum Hill, with its panoramic terrace and the old Punch and Judy show, Villa Sciarra, perhaps the most beautiful Roman villa, Whose fountains, statues and hedges create a strong visual impact, and especially Villa Doria Pamphili, Which, with its 184 hectares, is the largest historic villa in Rome, visited by lovers of jogging, picnics under the pine forests, for walks in the avenues or lazy afternoons on the banks of the pond. In the summer, These parks host a number of interesting artistic events in theater, music and dance, with many Initiatives for children. This leafy urban quarter, is universally acknowledged as one of the most elegant and desirable to live in the Ethernal City. Monteverde Vecchio views have made it the star of movie sets and photo shoots.
It is perfectly located: central enough to be a 30 minutes walk from Campo de Fiori, yet suburban enough to feel removed from the the urban chaos, smog and noise. Monteverde Vecchio is one of the best place to take a break from hot, dusty sight-seeing and frantic, dodging traffic walk in the center.
Thanks to the huge Villa Pamphili, Villa Sciarra and Janiculum Hill, the green reservoir of the quarter, the air is visibly fresher and less polluted even Compared with Trastevere just a ten minutes walk away downhill. The traffic is Mainly local, with good parking facilities. The public transport is good and Allows you to easily reach Piazza Venezia, the very historic city center, Trastevere Station, Ostiense Station and Termini Station.
Open air cafe and bars and ice cream shops are plenty. The quarter's end town houses, predominantly from the 19th and 20th centuries, are well built and spacious, many with gardens. Few will disagree That the quarter is among the most beautiful residential areas in Rome.
It's a fact That Those Who like to live here, hardly goes away. Monteverde Vecchio is a multilingual neighborhood .many foreign institutions such as the American Academy, American University of Rome, Institutum Romanum Norvegiae sono stati established here. John Cabot University is nearby.
The neighborough umpararelled's green areas, food and craft shops, open air markets and community spirit render its enviable quality of life. It is lofty yet never haughty, yet approachable and exclusive: in other words unique.
Around the apartment you will have:
§ supermarket & greengrocery, grocery § § bakery§ winestore & bars§ pharmacy and the bank§ Tocacconist & newstand§ great restaurants (Le Lumie di Sicilia to eat fish and Sicilian first course..and the wine..wow!)
§ One of the best "white pizza" in Rome, they did it from 7 generations- Oven Beti, Largo Luigi Miceli) .We suggest you to stuff it with mortadella and eat it on the shades of Villa Pamphili or Villa Sciarra.
§ You can anche taste the most popular handmade icecream, slush or frozen yoghurt in Monteverde going to the ice cream shop in Miami (150 mt from the apartment) .we strongly suggest, based on our huge experience, the iconic Eggnog + coffee + whipped cream. You'll love it.
