About Mary Looram, Looram and Associates LLC.

My husband and I purchased this home when he was stationed at Ft. Ord. We have 5 children and needed a big home. It was a wonderful place to bring up our family. Now they live all over the world. We need to be in New York but we gather together from time to time at Willow Street. Our family has grown to 19 with 8 grandchildren.

Mary Looram, Looram and Associates LLC. purchased this house in 1975

What makes this house unique

We love the Victorian bones of our home with high ceilings and stained glass windows. It is a bright, cheery ,comfortable home perfect for families getting together to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, etc.

We enjoy the backyard because of it's privacy using the hot tub and fire pit. A great place to hang out at the end of the day.

Awesome family home close to old Pacific Grove

  • 5 of 5

We had 4 adults, 3 teenagers and 3 children

We had plenty of room of family dinners and the upstairs loft/family room was great fir the young to play games. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings. We were close to wharf and aquarium. 2 of our grandchildren were visiting for Peru and we were headed back to LAX to send them home We were able to create some great memories we would definitely visit again

Owner's Response: Dear Judy, Thanks so much for your lovely review. So happy our home gave you an opportunity to spend some time on the Monterey Peninsula with your family especially your two grand children visiting from Peru. Our family knows about that since 2 of my grandchildren are in Hong Kong and two grew up in Vietnam. You are more than welcome to return any time. Warm Regards, Mary Looram & Associates LLC

Pacific Grove Paradise

  • 5 of 5

If you have a group of 3 or more this is the place to consider. The area hotels rates are increased 100% or more during the time we want to visit the Monterey area. The location, accommodations, and cost, create the perfect place for our group to stay year after year. The fire pit is great for recapping the days activities.

Sisters, Cousins Get Together!

  • 5 of 5

The house was great. There were 11 of us that stayed and the house is large enough that we never felt crowded. We even had some more family that lived in Pacific Grove come over one night for pizza We spent much time outside around the fire pit laughing and talking. Our favorite place was the kitchen. We loved the round table and all the chairs that were available.

So glad you rent your home out for groups to enjoy!!!!!

Owner's Response: Thanks Phyllis, So happy your family enjoyed our home. We love that big old round table in the kitchen. Our children and their friends grew up spending so much time around that fire pit. We always knew they would come home early from parties to gather there and talk. You and your family are the reasons we rent our home. We can't be there full time and we love other families to enjoy that roomy , comfortable house. Thanks for taking the time to write a review. Warm Regards, Mary Looram Looram & Associates LLC

Owner's Response: Thanks Amy, so happy you and your family enjoyed your time on the Monterey Peninsula and especially in our home. We love sharing our home built in 1895 with other families and friends. We love the many places to gather together or be alone for awhile. We love sitting around the fire pit for quiet conversations when all the children are sound asleep. :) Thanks for choosing our home for your family reunion. Sincerely, Mary Looram & Associates LLC

Great family retreat

  • 4 of 5

As others have mentioned, this is a great place for a large or extended family vacation. There are so many places to retreat to, that it never feels crowded even with 10 or more people there. The front porch is a lovely spot, and the back yard with the fire pit and hot tub make this an ideal place to return to after a busy day in this beautiful area. The only drawback is that it is an older house with some quirks, like outlets that don't work, shower water that takes a long time to heat up. But that is pretty minor in comparison to all the other amenities already mentioned as well as a study to hide in, two very comfortable seating areas in the livingroom, and a spacious well-equpped kitchen. Upstairs is a large comfortable den, but one thing we didn't realize is that the den is open, so it isn't really great for a bedroom unless you have folks who just want to "crash" and are not interested in privacy. The location of the house is perfect - a few minutes walk to all the wonderful cafes and restaurants of Pacific Grove (do eat at the Red House Cafe and dine at Max's Grill). It is more of a stroll to Lover's Point and a lovely walk along the bay. The whole area is great to explore as the houses of Pacific Grove are a lovely mix of victorian and craftsman, and the gardens are beautiful. we would definitely stay here again.

Owner's Response: Hi Sherie, Thanks for writing a lovely review. You are correct there is problem with the hot water and we are in the process of getting bids for an instant hot water heater. Surprised about non working outlets but I will get an electrician in there to check all outlets. I appreciate you telling me so it can be fixed. I hope you were aware there is a double pull out couch in the downstairs study and there is an accordion door for some privacy. I don't expect anyone to use the upstairs family room as a bedroom. I am happy you enjoyed the other parts of the house , especially the porch, backyard and well equipped kitchen. I too like the fact that there are lots of spots to be alone if that's what one desires. We are fortunate to be located close to Lover's Point and the downtown area of Pacific Grove. Thanks so much for choosing our home for your family get together. You are more than welcome to come again and I promise there will not be a problem with hot water. :) Enjoy the rest of your summer. Warm Regards, Mary Looram Looram & Associates LLC
