This house was as advertised, clean and well-maintained, in a very quiet and private setting. Even the fireplace was prepared for lighting! Dave, the owner, was friendly and helpful. Since it is centrally located in the state, we were able to take many side trips.
This would be a great place for 2 couples (even a second fireplace on the lower level) or a couple with children, or just a cozy place for 2.
My family rented this home for a wedding weekend in October. Dave was a pleasure to work with and he left easy to follow instructions for our stay. We brought three dogs with us and Dave had dog dishes, baby gates and baggies for taking the dogs out. The house is the perfect size, it was much bigger than we thought with the whole lower level. It was also extremely tidy and organized. Bathrooms had plenty of towels, etc. Grocery store and little downtown area was only 15 minutes away. Hope to stay again sometime.
Everything needed was there. Spacious and clean. Perfect for family and dogs. Good mountain golf at Sugarbush. Lots of easy hiking trails, especially Bobbin Mill.. Good breakfast and lunch at Warren Store and very good dinners at Pitcher Inn and Uncommon Man. Owners are very nice people, easy to deal with.
The property is beautiful. Quiet setting. Perfect if you want too hide away from the city and relax. Dave is friendly. He has everything you would need right at your fingertips. Bring your family and enjoy. I hope too stay there again soon.
We had a wonderful time in this area of Vermont, and our time there was made even more pleasant by having such a nice house from which to launch our frequent day trips to other areas of Vermont.
We rented two other homes on this trip to New England, and this house was the most comfortable by far. It was extremely clean and well cared for. The setting is ideal, and provided us with a true feel of mountain living. We especially appreciated the hiking trails just a few blocks from the house. The trees were in their full glory and the colors took our breath away.
We truly appreciated the fact that dogs were allowed in this house and that there was a lot of room for them to walk and "hike." It was very convenient to have access to the garage as it made for a convenient place to leave & enter the house - especially with the dogs.
If ever in this area again, we would most definitely stay here again. Thank you, Dave & Gretchen, for sharing this home of yours with others.
David the homeowner was amazing. He was very easy to communicate with and made every effort to make our stay perfect! The home was so nice, clean, comfortable....a great place to stay for our family! We all had a wonderful stay there!
We by accident lef t some things behind and he was kind enough to ship them to us! Overall....we would stay there again and again! Price was great too!
