Northeastern Pennsylvania borders the foot of the Catskill Mountains, and is a host to year round activities, including auctions, antiquing, shopping and museums. Activities in New York are also easily assessable.

In the summer there is a host of outdoor activities such as fishing, rafting, canoeing, swimming, bicycling, horseback riding, golfing, hiking, country fairs, live theater, and concerts at Woodstock Concert's original 1975 performing site, known as Bethel Performing Arts Center.

In the winter the area is transformed into a magical wonderland with some of the best skiing in the North East.

When the fall comes, no one should miss the vibrant colors of a Pennsylvania Autumn or the chance to explore our vast wild life.

For a quiet romantic getaway or vacation for the adventurous family, Pennsylvania has a lot to offer. Why not make it your next vacation destination?

Other Activities: spinet piano, yoga studios, Himalayan Institute nearby, art and theater classes

Ski: Elk Mountain and Big Bear are both in reasonable distance

There is central vacuuming so daily upkeep is easy.

Second time we have rented this property. If you want to unwind and take in some beautiful sights, this is the place. Everything you need is there, and if not, the owner will get it for you. Had a wonderful week there with our whole family.

Great house with scenic view

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our week-long stay on this property. The atmosphere of the home was very welcoming. Roger was a great host who greeted us upon our arrival and was a phone call away in case we needed anything. We really loved the personal touches and knick knacks. The house was large and clean. We also really loved the pool and ping pong tables and the campfire outside. The views outside of the Delaware River were beautiful. We would definitely recommend this place if you want to relax and get away from the city for a while. Hope to come back soon.

Beautifully secluded...

  • 5 of 5

Me, my wife and two teenaged sons had a great week. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed and then some. Also, our dog had great time running the surroinding woods, as there were plenty of deer to chase in vain. :)

If you bring kids, it is probably best to familiarize yourself beforehand of surrounding areas/activities. Some points of interest that worked out well for us...

- Bethel Woods (Woodstock, incl museum)

- Callicoon (market and places to eat)

- Landers River Tours (Kayaking, Tubing)

- Lake Wallenpaupack

Thanks to Roger for a great week.

Great vacation stay in the north PA Poconos

  • 5 of 5

My family and I just had a great week at this (Roger's) Damascus, PA vacation house. We had as many as eight people for two nights and we were all comfortable with no inconvenience. The property is very close to cool Callicoon, NY and the historic Woodstock music festival area & Monticello. Lower half of property is one big family recreation area and all the bedrooms are upstairs. Beautiful Delaware River overlook view with outdoor fire pit. Hopefully we'll be back next year.

Very good weekend at the beautiful house !

  • 5 of 5

We were 9 and stayed one weekend. We loved did !!

Staying away from NYC in this house was the best: it's in the middle of the mountains, very calm and relaxing. The hot tub with the view is incredible. Lots of things to do: pool table, ping pong table, barbecues, hiking, kayaking.... it's perfect !

Thanks again Roger.
