Hi our names are Craig and Angie
Both Craig and i both lived in towns growing up, but 9 years ago that all changed,
we decided to buy Watling Meadow Farm and turned it into our smallholding, over this time learning a variety of farming pointers.
Our unique holiday let has been a labour of love to create, we want our guests to experience the tranquil life that is our smallholding with the chance to experience the livestock that we keep.
Situated right next to the Grand union Canal. Wake up to the singing of the birds then relax on the decking overlooking the meadow while drinking your morning tea.
Take time to cruise the canal in Lazy Days our 20ft Cruiser day boat.
20% discount given to guests at Meadow View.
See the world at a slower pace while taking in the views - a great experience and a day you will remember.
As soon as i arrived i knew i had made the right Choice.
the place was very easy to find using the GPS coordinates (straight to the gate)
The welcome was great, Meadow View was homely, very comfortable and warm.
When next in the area i will book again.
Definitely value for money
From the moment we arrive we feel comfortable and at home. Angie and Craig are wonderful hosts, nothing is too much trouble, they are always happy and friendly. We just love the farm environment. The animals are great and we really enjoy walking the tow path to the shops nearby. The cabin (as I like to call it due to it's resemblance to a log cabin) is cosy and warm. It is very handy being off the A5 as you are close to many shops and pubs but still in a lovely rural setting. There is something so nice and homely about this place, as soon as you enter you feel realxed and happy.
We will keep coming back! By far the best value for money in the area.
I was a bit tentative about staying in a static caravan but my fears were quickly put to one side upon arrival. It' easy to miss the turn off from the main road but, once there, there is a lovely area for the kids to play in, pigs to see and the owners, Angie and Craig, are wonderful. The caravan itself could do with some ventilation throughout as, on a daily basis, we found ourselves having to wipe down the windows with towels as they were dripping in condensation - as were the curtains. The double bed appears to consist of two mattresses stacked on top of each other which makes for a very soft (too soft) bed that would slump in the middle. Aside from those two points it was cosy, practical and had everything we needed for our 5 day stay. We were there in September so sitting out on the decking was not an option but I've no doubt that it would be a very pleasant thing to do in the summer months overlooking the meadow watching the pigs rummage in the grass. The location is very handy indeed although it's between a main road and a train track. This may seem like a problem but within a few hours we had become "immune" to the outside noise. Without a doubt we will return.
Excellently located and well appointed, comfortable and cosy.
We needed somewhere reasonably priced to stay in for a visit to milton Keynes and this fit the bill.
Friendly and helpful hosts
Near a railway line and roadway so there is a bit of noise, but it didn't disturb our sleep at all.
Right on the Grand Union Canal - Why not try a spot of fishing or a relaxing walk - experience a slower pace!!!
