|Minimum Stay||7 nights|
The cabin sits in a large mature garden near, but separate from, the owners 'Arts & Crafts' family home. Solidly built, well insulated and has central heating. The cabin is in a woodland setting and has its own courtyard style private garden. Dedicated double bedroom in the loft with luxury Egyptian cotton sheets and duvet covers. Large open plan sitting -eating- kitchen area with french doors to garden. Utility room with sink and washer drier. Double sofa bed downstairs- also with luxury cotton. Smart TV with Netflix, and Blu Ray DVD. Wifi. Modern appliances. Shower room with basin and WC. Iron & board, toaster. Barbecue available; please ask.
Sea Reach has its own parking with dedicated gate into its garden so you can come and go as you please. We have plenty of space so if you wanted to bring any toys, boats and trailers, windsurfers, bikes, or classic cars, I am sure we can accommodate. Please just let us know.
The cliff-top and beach are a 12 min. walk away through woodland and a small heath. Alternatively if you follow the stream through the woods you can walk to the village hardly using any roads. Milford on Sea has a good butcher, 2 grocery shops, a good fish & chip shop and numerous good restaurants, pubs and wine bars. The sailing and fishing harbour of Keyhaven are minutes away by car. From there you can walk or take a ferry to Hurst Castle, an exciting fort built by Henry V111. Keyhaven is an outlier of the New Forest National Park. The main body of it is about 15 mins away by car. Here you have a wonderful open space for all sorts of activities. If you are interested in wildlife then the Forest is a must but you may also see birds, deer, badgers, squirrels and foxes near Sea Reach. If you follow the sea wall from Keyhaven it will take you to the internationally famous sailing centre of Lymington. Here there are two marinas, harbour-masters pontoons and the old Town Quay. Boats galore, river trips, ferry to the Isle of Wight, sea water swimming pool, shopping, eating are all part of this lovely Georgian market town. (Market day Saturday) If you like walking or cycling there plenty of options that start right from the door of Sea Reach. Beaulieu, the home of the National Motor Museum, is about 25 min by car. It is a beautiful village at the top of the navigable section of the Beaulieu River. There is a wonderful walk downstream to the well preserved 18th century shipbuilding village Bucklers Hard.
Sea Reach is no smoking and no pets. Children are welcome but please note that the stairs are steep and open on one side and there is an unprotected bit of landing. It is clear to an adult that there is no reason to go there but a child would see it as a challenge. This is a weekly rental with changeover day on Saturday. We will sometimes consider shorter rentals at short notice. Contact me if you want to discuss.
We had a great few days exploring the New Forest and Isle of Wight by bike and on foot- the house was a great base
Sea Reach is a warm, well equipped and welcoming property in a private peaceful location but within easy walking distance of local facilities at Milford on Sea.
The sea is a pleasant twenty minute woodland walk away. The owner, Rory, was very helpful, knowledgeable and informative regarding the local area but never intrusive. We would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely property particularly the very comfortable bed!
We were very happy with the property. It was clean, comfortable and as described. The location is also lovely and peaceful. The owners are very kind and friendly. I would recommend it to my friends and family.
Just back from a relaxing week at Sea Reach.
The property and location was everything we were led to believe: comfortable with a well stocked library and a comfy bed to die for. ( the latter was particularly helpful when we both went down with terrible colds!)
We had plenty of walks through the woods to the sea front, and enjoyed both Milford and Barton on sea. If you're up for it, the walk along The 'Spit' to Hurst Castle is well worth the effort - truly beautiful views over the Solent to the Needles. The Gun Inn at Keyhaven was a particular favourite offering good, home-made food with a lovely atmosphere. Another favourite eatery is The Hare and Hound at Sway.
We'll definitely be recommending the property to our family and friends.
Sea Reach is a small but clean and modern place to stay. We are a family of four and had no space issues. It was the perfect base for us to have some peace and quiet but also go out and about to various places. Everything was clean and it was well equipped. The woodland walk down to the sea front and village was great fun. The owner was friendly and helpful and Henry the dog went down very well with our children. We would definitely stay again.
Cottage was perfect for two but does accommodate four. Well designed self catering, very clean and in a lovely, peaceful location in owners beautiful garden. Only a few minutes walk through the woods to the sea and great views of Isle of Wight and The Needles. The owners are very friendly and so is the Labrador Henry. We had gorgeous weather so were able to explore the surrounding area on our bikes. There are lots of lovely walks and cycle paths locally and further into The New Forest. May is a lovely time of year and Exbury gardens are well worth visiting to see the rhododendrons, azaleas and acers in all their glory. You can enjoy a slap-up full breakfast at the Needle Eye Cafe before you go! Highly recommended. The New Forest is on the doorstep so there is always something to do or see. Would highly recommend Seareach and will definitely return.
Although we are only a mile from the village we have a very rural atmosphere. We are down a dead end Road with little traffic and is a lovely spot to walk from.
