Cosy and comfortable Cottage

  • 5 of 5

Squirrel Bank is a cosy and comfortable cottage. The owners provided a very warm welcome and plenty of local information to help get around the area. The cottage was nicely decorated and well furnished for an enjoyable stay. The access to wifi was appreciated. The small garden for use at the rear of the cottage was a nice place to relax in the late afternoon. It was useful that the cottage was in walking distance of Bowness-on-Windermere.

Lovely relaxing break

  • 5 of 5

Sue & Dave obviously take great pride in this beautiful little cottage. The attention to detail was second to none. Sue made us feel extremely welcome upon our arrival & we were then left to enjoy our time together. They were both on hand should we have needed them. We were lucky to have good weather & made use of the BBQ on the premises on our first night. The cottage is all on one level which was great for me being 30 weeks pregnant. The cottage has everything you need as a home from home place to stay. You can literally turn up with your own personal clothes & toiletries and food and everything else is catered for. Bowness-on-Windermere is only a few minutes in a car and around a 15 minute walk away, so the cottage is nice & central. Overall a lovely relaxing break for us. We wouldnt hesitate in recommending to friends & family.
