Your really stunning luxury Three Bedroom Three Bathroom Apartment has individually controlled air conditioning and is on the sixth floor of a portered building, with a brand new lift to all floors, facing Brompton Road, just 2 minutes’ walk from Harrod’s store and other exclusive shopping in London’s Knightsbridge. It’s a short walk from some of London’s main museums – Natural History Museum, Science Museum and Victoria & Albert Museum – and in walking distance of Kensington Palace and Gardens, Hyde Park and the Royal Albert Hall. London’s main sights – Buckingham Palace, Westminster, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, London’s theatres, the Tower of London and much more are easily accessed quickly and direct from either Knightsbridge or South Kensington tube stations – both a short walk from your apartment.

Your apartment has wooden flooring in the Lounge and hallway, with carpet in all three luxurious bedrooms. As you open the door of the apartment, you will sense the luxury standards throughout right away. You are greeted by a spacious Lounge with two very large, comfortable sofas, 45" flat screen TV, Blu-Ray/DVD Player, Bose iPod dock and cinema surround sound system.

In the Master Bedroom you will sink into the carpet as you walk through the door and sense the luxury that awaits: a queen size Double Bed with Egyptian Cotton sheets, plenty of space around, a large, mirrored wardrobe and en suite bathroom with rain shower and hand-held shower are just some of the features waiting for you.

The second bedroom is equally striking. Front facing, it is light and has a Double Bed and a very large floor to ceiling mirrored wardobe, as well as a desk and chair for those guests who bring computers with them. Another iPod dock is set in the base of the bedside light. The bathroom for this bedroom is just across the hall and is every bit as luxurious as in the master bedroom, with rain shower and hand-held shower.

The Third Bedroom is a single room, close to the front door, where the very comfortable single bed sits on a small pedestal. Rear facing, it is particularly quiet but bright and has its own wardobe. The room also has an en suite shower and doubles as a utility room, with the washing machine and separate dryer behind the bedroom door.

A high quality air bed can be provided on request for a sixth guest.

The cosy kitchen is very well equipped with Bosh appliances, including a hob, oven, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher. There is a coffee maker, kettle, toaster and ample cookware, crockery, cutlery, glassware and everything else you may need to remain fully independent during your stay in London.

The immediate area of your apartment has numerous small shops, restaurants and coffee shops. There is a choice of Marks and Spencer, Little Waitrose and Sainsbury’s Local, all within 2 minutes’ walk and some open from 7.00 a.m. up to midnight. If you decide to go out to eat, you will find yourself spoilt for choice from the wide range of restaurants close by.

Do make sure to slip down the side streets around your apartment where you will find the village atmosphere of Knightsbridge still alive and well. There is a beautiful garden square moments from the entrance to your apartment and several mews and streets of small, very individual shops and restaurants that you just will not find anywhere else.

If you enjoy museums, there are some of London's best in this area - just a short walk down Brompton Road for the Natural History Museum, Science Museum and Victoria & Albert Museum.

London is famous for it's parks and Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park (essentially one park) are in easy walking distance.

However, Knightsbridge was once just a village outside London and it still retains some of the atmosphere from those earlier days in side streets of mews houses, garden squares and some lovely, very individual shops and restaurants. They can be a bit pricey but they are a unique experience.

Knightsbridge tube (underground/subway) - Piccadilly Line - station is a short walk away and South Kensington - Circle, District and Piccadilly Lines - tube station is also close by. Between them, they offer easy direct routes to most of central London. Several bus routes run up and down Brompton Road.

  • The standard of the bedrooms is exceptional and both of the main bedrooms are bright and exceptionally luxurious. The Master Bedroom has a good size wardrobe. The second bedroom has a much larger wardrobe running floor to ceiling and the full length of one wall. It also has a computer desk and chair and iPod dock in the bedside light.

Amazing apartment

WARNING! Staying in this apartment ruined our short trip to London.

I booked the apartment for myself and another couple for 3 night stay, relying on the pictures and description. Be warned, they have very little resemblance to the actual apartment…

He morning after we arrived I informed the staff “there are so many problems with the flat I didn’t know where to begin”. I sent about 30 photo’s of everything below and he said he would “forward it to his superior”. Despite chasing 3-4 times I never even got a call back, a text, or an email, let alone an apology. I asked if they could meet me at least at check-out, but they did not even meet us then.

Here are just a few of the problems:-

1) No bedside tables or lamps. The rooms were very dark. We had only two lights working and one light had browned and melted in the socket.

2) The curtains were not working in either the living or bedrooms. The curtain strings were broken so they were permanently down. We propped-up one curtain a little by using the ironing board. It gave some light to room and prevented from feeling like a crypt.

3) Luckily, we did not require a third bedroom, as this room is no bigger that a walk-in cupboard, being 3-4 sq meters at most.

4) The air conditioning did not work.

5) There were only two mugs in the apartment and no wine glasses either.

6) The whole apartment was filthy. It is hard to believe just how dirty, grubby and unclean it is. I am not talking about rubbish, but this is dirt and grim on surfaces that has built up through lack of cleaning.

7) There are also many marks on the walls, cracks in the plaster throughout the apartment etc.

8) The toilet extractor fans did not work.

9) The toilet waste get returning after flushing in the master room bathroom.

10) The shower hoses were both split so more water leaked and sprayed ‘everywhere’.

11) There were cracks in the kitchen work surfaces.

12) The kitchen cupboard had stickers on the doors to make them look like wood, but these were peeling off all the cupboards, which was very unsightly.

13) The chairs were very badly stained.

14) The walls were stained, and marked.

15) The carpets and both sofa’s were heavily stained/marked throughout. The owner said these were caused by the previous guest and would be cleaned before we arrived, but the staining was so extensive this was obviously a lie.

16) The nice coffee table shown in the HomeAway website was broken and piled up in the corner of the living room.

17) In the master bathroom, the wall face mirror was hanging off the wall.

Great location and well-suited for our party of four.

The apartment was as represented on the website. Assistance with arrival and communications beforehand were excellent, as was security. Great location - near two tube stations, Harrod's, restaurants and several museums. It was clean and suited our party of four quite well. Limited dining space was the only drawback, but we didn't plan to dine in anyway.

Good Location and well maintained Apartment

My family of 5 enjoyed out week long stay. Location was good to see a lot that London has to offer. Apartment work well for us, the 3rd bedroom is as described, more of a utility room/bedroom.

Overall we would come back..
