Casa Margaretha is set in a secluded rural position, yet is easily accessible, has a 10 x 5 metre swimming pool in landscaped gardens that look out over a lush valley, just south of the sleepy market town of São Brás. The villa is fully equipped with TV (BBC, ITV, Channel4 etc.), BOSE Sound Dock (for IPOD), microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, hairdryer, iron etc. Unlimited WiFi included. The garden/swimming pool are completely private and a large south-facing sun terrace, adjacent to the swimming pool, overlooks the surrounding countryside. There are also two breakfast terraces and covered barbecue area suitable for alfresco dining. Shops, cafe-bars, restaurants, supermarkets & other amenities conveniently located in nearby São Brás, which is only 15 minutes walk away, or 2 minutes by car. A selection of superb golf courses at Vale do Lobo, Quinta do Lago & Tavira easily reached along with bowling at Vilamoura. Beautiful sandy beaches also only a short distance

Eating Out: is great and very good value. Most visitors to the area eat out nearly every night. Sao Bras has an abundance of restaurants and the majority of them can provide a good meal for under £10.00 for two. Taste of Punjab (Indian - formerly Bom Amigo) - closest eatery to our villa. Churrasqueira Luis dos Frangos (Chicken Luis) - about 100M from Bom Amigo; speciality is Chicken Piri-Piri, in addition, whole pork fillet cooked in garlic, grilled turkey breast and daily fresh fish are well worth a try. Fonte de Pedra - Top of the Avenida. The food is very good and is freshly prepared to order. English is spoken well - very popular at the weekends.

The Avenida - Near the top of the main high street on the left hand side. Good food cooked simply but well. House wine by the 'Jarra' jug is worth it too. The locals reckon this is the best Chicken Piri Piri too.

Cafe Horta (on the Tavira road) - excellent food, great service and full of locals. A great meal with wine for roughly 10 Euro per person.

Hiking: Sao Bras is an excellent location as there are many hikes with a starting point within 30 minutes to 1 hour drive from the villa and about 6 of them withing 30 minutes drive. All the hikes are marked. Visit the tourist officie in Sao Bras and there is a little book with around 30 hikes in the Algarve. However, there are even more possibilities than explained in the booklet. The book is availalble in English, German, Spanisch, Protugees and even Dutch.

Large open plan lounge-dining room with patio doors looking out onto 10x5 swimming pool (larger than average pools of 8 x 4). There is a BOSE Sound Dock for music etc. to be played from IPOD's. Large sun terrace and landscaped garden. Sun loungers, parasols and garden table and chairs provided. Covered outside area with barbeque ideal for al fresco eating and entertainment. Two breakfast terraces. Fully equipped kitchen including all glassware, utensils, crockery etc. Ceiling fans, double glazing, fly screens and security shutters. Travel from Faro airport to the villa will take 20 minutes maximum by car. Logs for the wood burner are charged as an extra during the period November to April (£45 per week). Unlimited WIFI available.

Completely relaxed

On opening the door felt completely at home. Went to buy supply's, then chilled then chilled some more. Wanted for nothing in the villa. Had some good restaurant recommendations from Lynn.

Had a good chat with Maria the cleaner very nice.

Hardly left the pool, whoever supplied the inflatable rings should be decorated.

We will try to return soon.

This was our second visit to Casa Margaretha and yet again we couldn't fault a thing!!

Helen & Rich really have thought of everything.... from a wonderfully stocked kitchen and lovely furnishings inside, to the wonderful pool with a lovely new shaded area, with a large patio and gardens outside.

Can't wait for our third visit!!!

We could not find a single thing to fault this property. Very comfortable, exceptionally clean, fantastic outside area, very easy to follow directions. Water pressure and Internet service better than we have at home. We cooked and dined in most days and found every gadget and utensil provided. We did not attempt to walk into Sao Bras as we thought crossing the roundabout might be a bit tricky but always found plenty of parking options. We did try Chicken Louis and a Taste of Punjab

and were not disappointed. We would recommend this property to anyone.

Villa is perfect and the pool area simply amaz

We have just returned from the most wonderful week at Casa Margaretha.

The villa is perfect and the pool area simply amazing!

I used to live in the Algarve so it is always like coming home and the villa made this even more so. We dined most nights by the pool and found the kitchen to be exceptionally well equipped. There wasn't anything we couldn't find.

We did yoga under the beautiful wooden sunshade and hired bicycles from a hire shop in Saõ Bras called Avalanche. The staff were great and gave us a super deal and cycle routes in the area. I really hope we can return again next year and would recommend the villa to anyone seeking to de-stress and unwind in beautiful surroundings.

Lovely holiday

My husband and I have just returned (4th may 2017) from a lovely and relaxing stay at this Villa. We were pleased to see that the Villa was exactly as described on HomeAway.

The inside of the Villa is lovely and has everything you need, fully equipped kitchen, for all needs, including a utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. We had no need to use the tumble dryer due to the nice weather and means to dry washing outside.

The lounge is lovely with very comfortable sofa's, tasteful furnishings and a flat screen TV. We have stayed in quite a lot of Villa's and this lounge was one of the most comfortable with a home from home feel.

The Villa has two very good sized bedrooms and we chose the bedroom that overlooked the pool with garden and countryside views. We appreciated comfortable beds and plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space. The two bathrooms, a stride away from each bedroom, were perfectly functional and the shower had much better water pressure than ours at home, always nice to have a really good shower!

This Villa offered many areas to eat, inside and out, which is always important when enjoying holidays. The dining facilities were abundant, small kitchen table, a large dining table off set from the lounge, a table on the terrace outside and another large dining table under a covered area next to the pool.

This Villa was fabulous, very clean and we felt able to relax immediately. However, the outside was even more amazing.

To leave the best to last .... the outside of this Villa is phenomenal, what a beautiful space with pool, gardens and a view of pure countryside. Fruit and carob trees within the large garden extended from the pool and terraced areas. What a rarely experienced treat to relax in this environment, away from it all and totally private and secluded.

A lovely place which we would recommend and although very private, it is within reach of local bars, restaurants and supermarkets Also a great place from which to explore the wonderful area of the Algarve.

Relaxing break

Beautiful, clean and comfortable villa in quiet surroundings but close to amenities. When we arrived, everything was as it looks in he pictures - beautiful! Villa is well appointed, well cared for and feels like a home from home. The weather was really hot and we made good use of the stunning pool, which, although a little chilly still was lovely, and weather hot enough to dry quickly afterwards. We ate every meal outside watching the swallows etc. BBQ was efficient and we used it a lot. We went for a celebratory meal at Restaurant Ysconderijo which was well within walking distance and a real find in Sao Bras as excellent meals in lovely atmosphere. Beach at Fuseta is worth the trip - quiet and safe with stunning views over the islands. Overall, a beautiful gem of a villa in a lovely area and we would thoroughly recommend it!

The area is characterised by the tranquil, unhurried lifestyle of the friendly local population. The market town of São Brás, 12kms from Loulé, has a central square surrounded by cafes and small streets. It is convenient for a variety of shops, restaurants, museums, ruins and other amenities. The town is surrounded by a ring of hills that look out onto the sea and the mountains. Low white houses, typical of popular architecture stand alongside more substantial buildings, their facades decorated with tiles, ornate stonework and cast iron verandas. São Brás has a covered market-place selling fresh fish, meat, fruit and vegetables and a monthly outside market. This area is relatively unaffected by tourism. This is the perfect place to sample the real Algarve.

Golf: The villa is within 10-20 minutes driving distance of 17 golf courses including Victoria, Millenium, Laguna, Old Course, Pinhal, Vila Sol - all at Vilamoura. The Ocean and The Royal at Vale do Lobo. Ria Formosa, Quinta do Lago, San Lorenzo, Pinheiros Altos (all at Quinta do Lago), Colina Verde Golf at Fuzeta and finally Benamore, Quinta da Ria, Quinta de Cima all near Tavira. A perfect place to stay and play golf every day!

Rates are on the basis of 2 people occupancy. If 3 or 4 people are renting together then an additional £80 per person per week is payable on the rental prices.

A £200 security deposit cheque will also be required 10 weeks prior to departure. This cheque will be returned following completion of your holiday and no damage has occurred.

Payments should be in UK Sterling by cheque or bank draft. A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total holiday price is required to book the holiday. The final balance is due 10 weeks prior to departure,
