3 bedroom gite with access to a shared above-ground pool set in peaceful gardens
About Anne-Marie Piper
For years David and I have dreamed of owning a property in France, then in 2011 our dream became a reality. Initially, I moved here in the summer of 2012 on my own whilst David continued working in the UK as an electrician. Finally, David moved here to join me in March 2014. Our love affair with France continues and in May 2015 we finally got married in a lovely ceremony at the Mairie followed by a reception in our garden surrounded by family and friends. France has become our home and we look forward to sharing our little corner with you.
Anne-Marie Piper purchased this Cottage in 2011

This is your home from home, however we do expect you to leave the gite as you found it on arrival. If you would prefer it, we can arrange an end-of-stay clean for a fee of euros. Simply let us know when you arrive. We understand that breakages sometimes do occur and we would appreciate it if you could advise us if any should occur during your stay. Moreover, if you have any issues during your stay please advise us as soon as possible and we will endeavour to put things right for you. We do have a swimming pool policy and ask that on arrival you sign and return the 'Pool Rules' form to us before using the pool. Due to our rural location we do not have access to mains drainage and operate a septic tank with a drainage field. Appropriate cleaning fluids are available for your use as well as a supply of toilet tissue. Should you need to purchase additional paper, please can you ensure that you use 2-ply paper..
100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date. 50% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
Great fit for a family of 5
We had everything we needed for our first trip as a family to a foreign country. We were greeted with a small gift pof food which our children needed and a warm welcome. Would recommend to anyone looking for a clean, quiet place too stay.
Thank you for you review, we hope you enjoyed the rest of your holiday.
Charming Gite in Heart of Normandy Countryside
Lovely warm welcome by Anne and David with greatly appreciated arrival provisions. The gite was spotlessly clean, comfortable and all we could have wished for. The pool and games room were especially appreciated by our grandchildren and they had plenty of space to run around in. Being ideally situated in the heart of beautiful peaceful countryside, it was less than an hours drive to gorgeous sandy beaches (almost deserted even in August), and historic WW2 landing sites, not to mention the numerous pretty towns and villages of Normandy.
All in all this is a brilliant holiday home with something for all generations, and our hosts were friendly, helpful, on hand in case of any problems (which there were none), and their knowledge of the area was extremely helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are so pleased that you had a good time with your family here in Normandy and we look forward to welcoming you again
Great holiday cottage
Was really impressed with the standard of accommodation, there was loads of room for three of us but 6 people would fit easily. There's lots of space in the gardens to the front and back and the pool was warmer than we expected even in mixed weather. Anne and David were very welcoming and friendly but let us have our privacy as well. The kitchen was well appointed and had plenty of equipment and various essentials were provided. We would definitely consider going here again
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us (and yes, the pool was warm-35C on one of the days just before you arrived!). We look forward to welcoming you back when you are a 'four'.
Very high standards of cleanliness, hospitality and lovely rural location
We are a family of five (three teenage children) and we very much enjoyed our stay here. The property was very clean and a high level of hospitality was offered including towel and a stocked kitchen in preparation for our late arrival.
The rural location was incredibly quiet and peaceful, enabling us to walk the country lanes in the late evening. A lovely shared pool with patio seating front and rear.
The setting is also convenient for travel to many local activities such as the beach, horse riding, canoeing and even bungee jumping.
We would happily stay here again
Thank you very much for your lovely review; we are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. There is certainly a lot to do in the area, and David is looking forward to his chance to canoe along some of the local waterways. Thank you for choosing to book with us and we look forward to welcoming you again.
Great all round
Really well equipped gite, in a great location for exploring the area. Anne and David are exceptional hosts who are always on hand if required to ensure you have the best possible time.
Would highly recommend to anyone
Many thanks for your lovely review! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you back soon
Beautiful, clean and very child friendly
I was so pleased at how child-friendly the place was. Stair gates, night lights, enclosed gardens, even a baby bath on request. The 5 kids that we had were so happy there. We wish we had stayed longer. The house was also beautiful and we were spoilt, dishwasher and washing machine, sun loungers and pool. Even a park for the kids within a picturesque setting. There was a bottle of local cider, cheese, baguette and yummy biscuits on arrival. We will be back!
We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. It was lovely to meet both families and we hope to welcome you back here again.
Our gites are located in the little village of Le Guislain, and are surrounded by fields. Whilst Le Guislain has no commerce, the villages of Percy and Hambye provide all that is needed for day-to-day living and are within a 10 minute drive.
Normandy has such a lot to offer visitors, and we are ideally located to provide our guests with an opportunity to explore many of the most famous sites. Mont St Michel and Bayeux are a 45 minute drive away, the D-Day landing beaches are within an hour's drive, as is Caenwith its famous chateau, abbeys and museums. Slightly further afield are St Malo and Falaise; both well worth the hour and a half drive.
If you are looking for sandy beaches that stretch for miles, we are an easy drive away from the wonderful west coast of Normandy. Our favourite beaches are at Les Salines, St Pair sur mer, and Carrolles, but there are so many to choose from each providing a different experience.
