|Minimum Stay||5 - 6 nights|
Cayman Conch Quest is a beautiful oceanfront condo in the much-desired district of Rum Point/Cayman Kai.
Situated just 75 feet from the ocean, here you will find some of the best snorkeling and scuba diving on the island. Our first-floor condo features awesome ocean views of the Caribbean Sea throughout. Features include all modern appliances and furniture. Enjoy Cable TV with premium channels, DVD player, CD Stereo and iPod dock, located in the livingroom entertainment center. A TV and DVD player are also in the master suite. Internet access is included for your use. Central air conditioning will keep you comfortable throughout your stay. There are ceiling fans in each room as well. The screened lanai, furnished with table and seating for 6, beach towels/bags/chairs/mats/umbrellas/cooler and ceiling fan, is a great place to enjoy a meal or step out onto the private deck, where you can enjoy the white, sandy semiprivate beach and ocean breezes on comfortable reclining lounges.
We spent 6 days in this lovely condo. We love having the option of cooking our meals, and love the feeling of a home when we travel instead of a hotel. Conch Quest was impeccibly clean. Anything we needed was there - the kitchen was fully equipped, television with a dvd player was handy, and towels were also provided. There is even a washer and dryer!
The location of the condo is about an hour from the airport, it is on the quieter North side of the island, away from the commercialism of 7 mile beach. We stopped for groceries on the way from the airport. There were two large grocery stores along the way. Food is very expensive, but we knew that.
The owner, Bob, was helpful with information about the island, places to eat, where to buy groceries, etc. The management company is right across the street, so if there were any problems it would have been easy to contact them.
Snorkeling was wonderful right outside our back door. It is just a short drive to Rum Point where there is also a very nice beach/snorkeling. The beach at Rum Point has comfortable amenities - chaise lounges, a shower/bathroom, a place to have something to eat and drink, and it is all very clean.
We felt very safe on the island. People were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The other people renting the units in the same building were also friendly.
When we drove down the road next to 7 mile beach, I was so happy that we didn't stay there, it was much more built with hotels one on top of another.
We would definitely rent here again when we come back to Grand Cayman, and will recommend it to our friends.
We had an amazing week at Cayman Conch Quest! We are a family of 4 (boys ages 8 & 10) staying the week before Easter. We have traveled to other islands, but this was our first time visiting Grand Cayman and the first time we rented a property outside of the U.S. Bob was great to work with! The rental process was simple, his response time was quick, and the condo was better than advertised. It was a perfect place to return to after visiting a new beach each day. Having the use of beach chairs, umbrellas, and a cooler made our day trips so easy. The condo overall was very well stocked and super clean. We thought the location of this unit was the best since you had a perfect view of the ocean and the pool. A ground floor unit was ideal for us since we didn’t have to trek up and down stairs. The beach in front of the condo was nice and quiet, and fun to take walks. The pool was an added bonus. After visiting Seven Mile Beach once, we were so happy we chose to stay on the North Side of the island!
We truly enjoyed the island visiting many beaches. Some of our favorites were Barefoot Beach, Cayman Kai Public Beach, and Spotts Beach since we were able to swim with the turtles. We had the opportunity to eat at a few restaurants as well. Our favorite was Tukka!
We typically like to visit new places, and not repeat, since it’s a “big world.” However, we loved Grand Cayman so much that we can’t wait to return and we wouldn’t hesitate to book this condo again. It was truly paradise!
What a gorgeous place to call home for a week in October! We just returned and must say we enjoyed Conch Quest from the moment we arrived! It was spotless and with all the conveniences of home and then some - and lights on and ice cubes in the refrig too. We so enjoyed the comfort of your condo Bob, especially the king master bed, fluffy pillows and pretty island decor throughout. It was glorious to step right out on the deck to play in the pool or walk about 50 steps further to the sandy beach and play in the ocean! I don't swim but just wearing a life jacket, goggles and fins I was able to walk right into the ocean from the beach and within minutes we were near the reef watching lots and lots of colorful fish swim by! Your deck furniture was awesome, comfortable canvas instead of plastic which is important in the sun - and quite nice to lay on at night watching those stars! We saw 14 shooting stars last week! Everyday we went to a different public beach to snorkel - loved Smith Cove and Spotts the best but snorkeling on all of the public beaches was great! Would I recommend your place? Absolutely - for couples like us its much nicer than staying in a hotel room. We used your BBQ grill, went to local restaurants which were terrific, and our last stop before leaving was one of the nicest little churches we've been in on vacation - felt so welcome! We might bring the grand kids next year since you had a corner full of outdoor toys for toddlers and games to entertain families and older kids too. Anyway we loved it and thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven! Connie and John from Spencer, Ohio. PS. To anyone reluctant to visit Cayman in Oct because of weather, last week (Oct 19-25) it was 82-88 degrees everyday with a few days of rain for hour or two and cleared right up!
We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was very clean. The owner and property manager were both kind and helpful. It was very windy on this part of the island during our stay in December. The last two days, however, the wind calmed down quite a bit. This was our fourth trip to Grand Cayman, and Rum Point is definitely our favorite place to stay. The views from the condo are fantastic! We really enjoyed being ocean-front. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful place!
This Spring Break trip was our second time to Grand Cayman and the second time we rented Mr Bob's condo. The location away from the busy strip is the very best for really feeling like a pampered castaway on a private island. Everything we wanted to do was just down the road at Rum Point or right out in front of the condo.
The Cayman Conch Quest condo was clean and well equipped for anything we needed. We had groceries delivered before we got there on Sunday night by a service so we didn't even have to go to the store. We were able to purchase fresh fish from a local and grill it in front of the condo on the provided built in barbeque. We also found fresh conch while snorkeling in front of the building.
The last time we were there, we visited a lot of restaurants around the island but this time we preferred the restaurants down at Rum Point as they were not any more costly than the others and the food was excellent. Lunch at the beach and dinner at the condo was what we did so no need to take fancy clothes. It was just so relaxing and heavenly.
Pack lightly because there is a nice washer and dryer in the condo. Save your suitcase room for more bathing suits as we lived in ours most of the time. And no need to take towels as the condo has an abundance. Snorkeling equipment is even provided.
A visit to Stingray Island and Starfish Cay is a must for every visitor and we highly recommend the short trips. It is the cheapest thing you will do while on vacation and the most fun! We also rented kayaks, paddle boards and jet skis right there on the beach. I even found a baby star fish right by my foot one day while walking in the surf.
This is the first time that we have rented the same place for a second time so I think this says a lot about what a great place this is and how highly we recommend the accommodation. We had even more fun the second time around. Thanks to the owner for all his recommendations and we hope to be back again in the near future.
Just wanted you to know that my family and I had an extremely enjoyable stay at Conch Quest. Our expectations were exceeded by the nicely decorated, spacious, and well supplied accommodations. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed with a beautiful view and a location that was near everything we needed to see and do.
It was great to have the deck area shaded for the entire day at this time of year while a sunny area was only a few steps away. My wife of Irish descent fries in direct sunlight, so shade is a great selling point for her. Even the snorkelling out front was good, with other excellent spots nearby.
Looking forward to another stay next time we are on GCI.
We are located in the Northside District which includes Cayman Kai and Rum Point. The local area is residential with many multi-million dollar homes that you will see as you take a quiet walk on the beach or snorkel in waist deep, clear blue water. There are times when there isn't another soul in sight. It's the ideal location if one is looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation. Reading a good book poolside or down on the white, sandy beach is a great way to put the stress of everyday life out of your mind for a few blissful days. Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean gently washing up on the beach that is just outside your back door is an experience that is not to be missed.
