Outstanding apartment, great location, super host. You can't miss!!!!!

  • 5 of 5

This was a wonderful apartment for our group of 4. We needed 4 beds, and it wasn't looking good, but this apartment had them. It had a good kitchen where we made breakfast every morning. The apartment was spacious, spotless and well stocked with basic supplies. The location was ideal, we found it so easy to get around and visit tourist spots as well as local hangouts. There was much within walking distance, and easy access to public transportation close nearby. Adalberto was a fantastic host! He has a great smile that he wasn’t seen without, and he made us feel welcome. We appreciated the little local tour he gave us, with suggestions for dining and entertainment options. This is definitely a must when we next travel to Rome.

Lovely apartment in a modern Roman neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

Roman Gianicolo is a beautiful apartment in a quiet Roman neighborhood with all of the modern conveniences and is near everything a family would possibly need, including restaurants, very conveniently located bus stops, and several grocery stores within steps of the apartment! It is beautifully decorated and very well cared for with very comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen and very good air conditioning. It was a welcome place to stay after very long days in the surrounding area and the landlord, Adalberto, was extremely helpful and gracious. We were given a tour of the apartment and the immediate area upon arrival and shown the best view of the Ancient city right from the neighborhood. He was always a quick text or phone all away with anything we needed. This was a wonderful choice for our family vacation and I would not hesitate to stay at this apartment again when we return!

Lovely apartment with easy access into Rome

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Adalberto's apartment in July with our two teenage children. The apartment is lovely and in a quiet neighbourhood but with good restaurants, supermarkets and easy access by regular buses into the city centre. The apartment has everything you need and was very spacious for the 4 of us. With very comfy beds (a must after a busy day walking!!) It is a 15 minute walk to Gianicolo with fantastic views of Rome. There is a regular bus, 2 mins from the apartment into the centre, but you can walk it - Its about a 30 minute walk - downhill and shady.. We generally used the bus into Rome and taxi back. Adalberto met us when we arrived and then took us on a tour of the local area, pointing out places of interest and practical things - bus stops, supermarket, etc. He was a fantastic host, very friendly and we loved staying in his apartment. He is on hand if you need anything, as he lives in the building. We had some excellent meals in the local restaurants, and although we were the only English people eating there we were made very welcome. We absolutely loved Rome and all the sights and I would highly recommend staying in this apartment, particularly if at the end of a busy day sightseeing you want to get away from the thousands of people that visit Rome!

Thank you Adalberto for making us very welcome and introducing us to a wonderful city.

Lovely apartment in a quiet neighbourhood

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Adalberto's apartment with our two teenagers. The apartment is lovely and spacious, comfy beds (just what you need after a busy day walking!). It is situated in a quiet neighbourhood just 10-15 minutes from the beautiful Gianicolo hill with fantastic views of Rome - this really is a stunning spot. It's about a 30 minute walk into the central Rome and all the wonderful sights. We walked it once and other times we took the bus in and taxi back. There is a regular bus service (I think it runs about every. 10-12 minutes) only 2 mins walk away and there are supermarkets and excellent restaurants, take-away and gelato. We liked staying here as it was away from the very busy tourist areas of Rome but easily accessible. Adalberto is a genuinely lovely guy, who met us when we arrived and took us on a tour of the local area pointing out places of interest and the practical things - bus-stops, grocery stores, etc. He lives in the building so is on hand if you have any questions. We loved Rome and all the wonderful sights and we would recommend staying in Adalberto's apartment. We felt very safe and very welcome.

Wonderful host, immaculate apartment

  • 5 of 5

You couldn’t ask for a more warm, kind, cheerful host than Adalberto. He met us on time at the apartment and then took us on an hour stroll of the surrounding area, showing us the shops, the park, and the views overlooking all of Rome. It is definitely out of the tourist area so you will feel more like a part of the Monteverde neighbourhood than the teeming masses of visitors. It is about a 25 minute walk to the Trastevere, and the 44 bus will take you right to Piazza Venezia (Teatro Marcello stop). From there it is a 10 minute walk to the Colosseum. You can also walk from the apartment to the Vatican in 30 minutes although part of the narrow street you walk on has no sidewalk and it can be a little unnerving. We used taxis and Uber a fair amount. The apartment is immaculate and Adalberto has high standards. There are three bedrooms, two with twin beds, the larger bedroom also has two twin beds but I am assuming they can be made into a queen by request. The beds are very comfortable and the automated shutters can create close to a blackout if you need to sleep in. I always carry earplugs if I’m in a city. No neighbourhood is immune to noise however this is one of the quietest I’ve stayed in during my numerous visits to Rome. There is a large kitchen that has all the essentials to cook. There are two good-sized bathrooms, one with a large tub, and the washing machine works very well. The wi-fi works best in the living room but is a little weak in the bedrooms. Within two blocks of the apartment you can find almost everything you’ll want or need. There is NaturSi across the street (a health food store), as well as a large grocery chain store, many good restaurants, and exceptionally good gelato. If you’re a runner or a stroller or you just like to sit on a park bench and read, you’re going to love this area. The park two blocks away is vast, and beautiful. I can’t stress enough what a pleasure it was to meet Adalberto. He is a man of integrity and you can be assured he will be available to you whenever you need him. Conveniently, he lives in the same building and was kind enough to print off boarding passes, tour tickets and directions for us. He is the ultimate gracious host!
