Tranquil setting, cosy cottage and fabulous hosts to boot!
We needed a base close to the Kemble airport for a business trip and this gorgeous place didn't disappoint.
Set in beautiful grounds, it was great to see the birds and wildlife roaming freely on their morning circuit around the cottage. The welcome basket and fresh eggs from the farm were a welcome bonus, having traveled from overseas and not had time to pick up provisions enroute.
Chuck and Janey were the perfect hosts and we had a fantastic week long stay in this beautiful part of the world. We hope to check in again next time we're in the area.
Highly recommended. *****
Beautiful setting to relax!
We had a lovely 4 days at this cottage. It was perfect for my 2 year old daughter and we spent many hours exploring the grounds and watching the ducks! Highly recommended.
Better than it looked like in the web
We are a family with two children. We spent three wonderfull days in The cottage. The house was good, but the Garden was even better.
Idyllic, remote and very comfortable
Lovely cottage - very comfortable and stunning location. Janey and Chuck mare us feel very welcome, even stocking the kitchen with essentials and greeting us with home made brownies. We loved it and will return (the only reason I didn't give five stars is that there was no shower, but I know Janey is working on resolving that!).
Relaxing and Quiet
Beautifully appointed property, quiet and peaceful. Had everything you need - we would stay here again. Comfortable and clean.
Beautifully furnished , ideally located
The cottage lies within the grounds of the owner's land which you have permission to use. The bedroom are wonderfully furnished and the velux windows gave great views of approaching storms - it was the British summer after all. We stayed with our little boy , but there is plenty of room for another child. We were touched when the owner showed our 4 year old how to collect hens eggs and suggested we do this every morning so we had eggs for breakfast, which we did. The hob was a little tricky to work out but apart from that we had no problems at all. There is a ten mile round trip to the nearest coop in Malmesbury or a longer round trip to waitrose or M&S in Circencester. The cottage is ideally located so that many of the Cotswold's attractions are within easy reach.
