About Neil Whitehead and Diane English
After travelling and working in west Africa we had to abandon our business there due to insurgency. We decided to move to Brittany and bought this property in March 2015. It had been abandoned for some time and we have spent the summer re-decorating and refurbishing the gite and bringing some order back to the garden. We have plans to improve the property still further in the future.

Why Neil Whitehead and Diane English chose Le Cloître-Saint-Thégonnec
We loved the area because of the variety of landscapes within walking distance and the tranquillity. We loved the property because it is well placed and has such huge potential. The gite and house are close enough for us to be on hand to help but distant enough for privacy.

Confort et grand air
Lieu paisible et confortable. Accueil très agréable
The gite is ideally placed for walking, biking, sightseeing and bird watching and is a couple of minutes walk from the Abbaye and the Restaurant du Relecq, within its precincts, where one can sit and admire the surroundings and enjoy the views across the lake. It’s an easy drive to the historic town of Morlaix or picturesque Huelgoat, and the dramatic Finistere coastline is also within reach for a day on the beach or a coastal walk. Extensive mountain bike (VTT) trails start right outside the front gate, as do the miles of foot paths and bridle ways.
