Great cottage and location
Everything we needed. Really clean and cosy. Comfy beds and even biscuits on arrival! Thank you
Thank you Nancy for your kind review. I am pleased you found the cottage clean and comfortable and I hope you enjoyed visiting the area. Thank you for leaving the cottage so clean and tidy, it was very much appreciated. Kind regards, Lesley
A lovely, well-equipped cottage.
We discount the fact that the weather was unsatisfactory part of the time. e.g. Our attempt on the Monday to go on a hike towards the river Dove got bogged down (in the literal sense of the term). But this was compensated for by a really fantastic walk up Froggat Edge on the Friday. When not walking, we really enjoyed the facilities of the cottage.
Excellent location in lovely village.
Three nights for two families including toddler. Perfect cottage for our needs. We all loved it and it made up for some very poor weather. Would definitely return.
Thank you Michael for your kind review.
I am pleased you found the cottage ideal for your group. Sorry I couldn't order some good weather for you, but at least you got a taster of the area.
Thank you for leaving the cottage so clean and tidy, I couldn't really tell that you had been there!
It would be lovely to see you again at some stage.
Kind regards, Lesley
Clean, spacious cottage in fabulous location
We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay in Birch Cottage. A lovely place with friendly, helpful owners (Fred and Lesley). A short stroll from the Devonshire Arms where we ate each evening. Hartington is a great hub for walking or cycling and exploring the Peak District. The cottage itself is really nice, very clean, well maintained, comfortable beds, cosy, all the utensils etc you need in a kitchen - can't speak highly enough about the place.
We'll certainly recommend the cottage to others and we hope to make a return visit in the future.
Thank you Tony for your lovely review.
We are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and found the cottage so comfortable and clean. It was lovely meeting you in the pub on Sunday night, and getting to know everyone. Thank you so much for leaving the cottage so clean and tidy, it was a dream to do the changeover. I hope to see you again in the future. Best wishes, Fred & Lesley
Comfortable and welcoming
This was abeautifully clean, very well equipped cottage. Sleeping for 6 large adults was a bit tight but ideal for a smaller family. The owners werereadily available to share their local knowledge and make us welcome. Hartington is an attractive village and very central to some beautiful, less touristy parts of the Peaks. We enjoyed the local cycle hire to explore the old railway cycle routes. We hope to return
Thank you for your kind review Delia, it is very much appreciated.
I am pleased you found the cottage to be clean, comfortable and well equipped. We do try to think of everything that will be needed during a stay.
I hope to see you again at some stage in the future, as there are many interesting places to visit in the area.
Kind regards, Lesley
