About Alan and Amanda

Hi, I'm Alan and together with Amanda we manage the holiday bungalow in Cayton. We both grew up in Scarborough and have lived here for most of our lives. Amanda was originally from Middlesbrough where she was born then moved to Scarborough with her family to be by the seaside. I was born in Scarborough and have also have my family living in Scarborough. I am the one to get in touch with if you come across any maintenance issues during your time in the bungalow. We are both committed to giving you the best service and we are only a short distance away to help in any way we can.

Why Alan and Amanda chose North Yorkshire

This property is suitably located just outside of Scarborough and Filey. It is a short walk to the Cayton Bay beach which is a clean and lovely place to visit. The village is clean and tidy and you are right next to the post office if you forgot something from home. There is also a new larger convenience store in the village about 1min away. Larger food stores not too far away are proudfooots and morrisons.

If you enjoy a drink and meeting the locals the village pub is on the main road into lodge close. You could easily leave the car and walk over and enjoy a drink or three and make your way back in 2 minutes.

Other pubs in the nearby area are the towbar, poachers barn and the byways all offering a range of pub foods and drinks.

If you enjoy walking, there are some lovely areas to visit in this area.

Surfers have the beach at Cayton Bay to ride the waves.

Guestbook comments from the owner

I can honestly say that the accommodation was absolutely brilliant and will definitely bear it in mind should we ever need accommodation on that coastline again. We had a fantastic time and it was ideal with the grandchildren.

perfect spot inbetween coast and moors.

House located in a quiet close, Clean and well maintained. Shop on the corner and all essentials available.

Not quite romantic, but very practical accomodation. Chairs in livingroom impressive rather than comfortable.

To be recommended if you want to see North Yorkshire and, oh yes, the weather was wonderful.
