Charming country cottage in a beautiful quiet village in Dorset. There is plenty of entertaining space and also room to eat outside and sunbathe, and a hot tub to relax in. Good sized gardens at both the front and back of the house mean kids have room to enjoy themselves and there is also a trampoline and swings for the kids to play on. The house is situated in the heart of Cranborne Chase, the sixth largest area of outstanding natural beauty in the UK. There are 5 double bedrooms all with double beds, a wood burning fire in a large sitting room with a big table for dinners and entertaining. There is a conservatory for relaxing, large kitchen with an AGA and a Rangemaster. 2 bathrooms with bath and showers in both and a TV in the bath downstairs for the kids! There are 2 large bedrooms downstairs - one has a 4 poster bed and a 6ft very comfy bed. The 2 bedrooms upstairs are both doubles. There is a double bedroom up the winding stairs off the sitting room which would not be that suitable for young children. There are lots of things to do for couples and families and lots of good pubs nearby. It is 30 minutes from the beaches at both Bournemouth and Poole.

Just returned from a long weekend family 40th birthday celebration, the house had everything you could ask for! Amazing 😀 will miss the Arga style bacon and toast!
A beautiful house with everything you could possibly need!
I must say when we all first pulled up I felt particularly smug as I had found this little gem while scanning the internet for the perfect place. Especially as there were so many of us! The photos don't do it near enough justice first impressions was even better than I had first thought! From the very quaint village it was set in to the beautifully kept & pretty front garden to the lovely spactious back garden perfect for both the kids as there were lots of things to keep them amused to the Gorgous seating areas for the adults including the fabulous hot tub ( which was used most nights once the kids were down!) sam had everything we needed to really enjoy our weeks stay!
The beds were so comfy our towels were lovely & fluffy & the bathrooms were gorgeous especially the down stairs wet room one! I would highly recommend this place for any big groups!
From the start of the booking it was all very simple and sam was always so quick to respond if I had any questions which wa a great!
So we will hopefully go back again soon so thank you so much it was a trip to remember! Xx

Lovely big house with great facilities
We really enjoyed our stay. My in laws particularly enjoyed the hot tub. Great house in a lovely location for visiting Dorset.
A fantastic house full of character and very well equipped.
We had a fantastic time with our family in this amazing house! The house, gardens and hot tub were fantastic and enabled us to have a great holiday together. The village is really pretty and there are lots of things to do in the surrounding area. We went on a local walk, had dinner in a couple of local pubs, visited the beach, Lulworth Cove and Monkey World.
Would definitely visit again!
Wonderful house and gardens in a lovely village
An amazing family and friends reunion in a perfect setting. Our son and his family live in Canada so this was an opportunity for them to be with us and old friends. The house is gorgeous, lovely "double" kitchen with Aga and hob oven, big kitchen table easily seating eight, conservatory and large dining/sitting room. Four big double bedrooms and a smaller double accessed by a cast iron spiral staircase immediately named the "Crow's nest" and claimed by the grandchildren! Hot tub outside and attractive gardens to sit and enjoy. An unexpected bonus was Sky Sports enabling the male guests to watch the second All Blacks/Lions test rugby (a matter of some priority!!). A further bonus was the church fete on the Sunday of
our stay in a field some twenty yards away. Coconut shies, home made jams and pickles, brick a brac, dog trials and agility, cream teas - wonderful. All in all a tremendous week in a lovely setting. Brook House comes with the highest recommendations from all the Leonard family. If you are looking for a restful week in a perfect English village setting you would have to search really hard to find anything to equal this spot.
Excellent experience. Family enjoyed the house, gardens and especially the hot tub. Village very pretty and beds extremely comfortable.
