About the property

Le Petit Verger is a converted and extended 18th century farm outbuilding set in unspoiled open countryside in this beautiful rural location. . Providing modern, comfortable accommodation with all modern facilities, Le Petit Verger is located on the border of Normandy and the Loire and is perfect for exploring both regions. Please note there is a small unfenced pond in the garden, and the garden is not securely enclosed.

This gite accommodates 7 guests in three bedrooms; one king size master (on the ground floor), one double and one triple with a double and single bed. Bed linen and towels are provided. The large downstairs bathroom features a large walk in power shower and a sunken jacuzzi bath.

The lounge provides an HD television with UK free to view Sky channels + DVD player, and comfortable seating with a wood-burner. The open plan ground floor also provides a living area, dining area and kitchen with oven and hob. There is a utility room with washing machine and large fridge/freezer. There is also a large sun room backing onto the garden with french doors opening onto the patio area. Ideal for just relaxing with a book.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms, large shower room and toilet and a large games room with PlayStation 3, TV, pool table and football table and other toys and games. There is also an outside table tennis table and a selection of outdoor games; badminton etc

Outside there is a private garden behind the gite which is not overlooked and has beautiful views across the local countryside.

Free off-road parking on hard standing is provided.

All electricity, hot water and logs for the wood burner are included in the price.

Pets welcome by arrangement.

Man made beach at La Ferte Mace 25 km away on the side of a large freshwater lake . The other beach is at Suille La Guillaume. Further beaches at Caen & Mont St Michelle and not forgetting the Normandy beaches to visit the War memorials and exhibition centres. There are many lakes and rivers throughout the area which can be fished with the correct permits.


Caen and St Malo are 1.5 hours easy driving away. Cherbourg is approximately 2 1/4 hours and Le Harve is probably 3 hours. The roads are excellent from all 4 ports and the main route National 176 runs through Domfront down to Mayenne.


Ceauce is approximately 2km from the property and has all of the essentials. The medieval town of Domfront is 10km and is great for a leisurely lunch, a wander amongst castle ruins and shops.

Ambrieres Les Vallee has a wonderful leisure park with swimming pool, kayaking, mountain biking about 20 minutes. Access to Paris is 2.5 hours by train from Flers. Mayenne is very picturesque and is a 25 minute drive. Mont St Michael 1.5 hours.

There is a bank,small supermarket, bakeries, bars,butcher and pharmacy in Ceauce.
