Garden of Eden is just 20 mins from Faro & 5 mins from the market town of Loule. Peaceful & tranquil, with stunning sea views. Beautiful gardens surround this traditionally renovated farmhouse with facilities for the whole family.

Poolside apartment is one of two within the environment at Garden of Eden, consisting of a large open plan apartment with kitchen facilities for the preparation of light meals, along with an en suite bathroom and shower. When combined with our Hilltop Retreat: http://www.homeaway.co.uk/p1693605

we can accommodate 4/6 guests in total.

Poolside apartment comprises a very spacious, light and airy room with doors opening out onto a private patio with steps leading down to the pool and sun terrace. There is a far infra red sauna available for use and a large en suite bathroom offers a separate bath and shower cubicle as well as his'n'hers sinks. The second double room is off the main space and would be ideal for children. A futon is also available in the main bedroom if a child or third guest bed is required. The apartment retains traditional farmhouse features including stone tile flooring throughout and a high-beamed bamboo ceiling with fan.

The main space is equipped with table and chairs and coffee/tea making facilities, a fridge freezer and a twin hob cooker for the preparation of light meals. Breakfast is included and served on the terrace and comprises freshly squeezed juice, a fresh salad of seasonal fruits, wholemeal croissant with butter and homemade preserves or eggs prepared any which way. All produce is organic and locally sourced where possible, if not picked from the garden that morning! Special dietary needs can be provided if notified in advance i.e. gluten free, dairy free, sugar free, vegetarian and vegan.

Your host both works as a Health Educator in the field of Nutritional, Herbal and Energetic Medicine and is always happy to answer any questions as well as provide yoga/meditation sessions, massage therapy and Nutritional consultations.

Guests have access to a secure pool area with sun loungers and swing hammock, a meditation pod, shaded terrace area with seating and a large mature garden with almond, olive and various fruit trees. Guests may also enjoy a tree-house situated in an ancient carob tree, day dream in hammocks nestled in one of our delicious fig trees and cook in the poolside barbecue area.

About Davide Parkero

We are a very sociable couple and love to meet new people and share the delights of our home and garden! Guests may enjoy as much interaction as you would like, although we also respect our guests need for privacy. We will be present in the main section of the farmhouse during your stay to offer any support or local advice needed.

David works in the field of Nutritional and Naturopathic medicine, while Laura teaches yoga/meditation and is also trained in a vibrational healing technique called Body Alignment. Guests can take advantage of a plethora of complimentary / alternative therapies including nutritional consultations, massage, reflexology, electro acupuncture & Body Alignment. Yoga and meditation sessions are also available on request.

What makes this apartment unique

A traditional Portuguese farmhouse with stunning sea and country views, Garden of Eden is situated 5 mins by car from Loule and 20 mins from the coast. For guests without their own transport, we are happy to drop you into town or down to the beach whenever it is mutually convenient. There is secure onsite parking available and a reliable bus service runs from Loule to Faro, Quarteira and Albufeira. The train station at Loule provides access right across the Algarve from the border with Spain to Lagos in the west. Airport taxis can be booked on request and we are situated 20 minutes from Faro Airport. From Faro, a 3 hour train journey takes one to Lisbon.

Unclean, unpleasant, awkward owner.

Poor booking system resulted in us having to be accommodated in the owners house (agreed prior), which was of a poor standard of hygiiene. Breakfast came and this continued, with animal droppings next to the dining area. This seems like a hippy retreat but it wouldn't pass standards required for communal living, no towels were provided either. Owner was very arrogant and intimidated us so we didn't have the chance to resolve any issues. No refund given or option to negotiate, we had to contact homeaway to get any correspondence.

Owner's Response: A very personal attack on the owner sadly reflects this couples true colours. I hope they can find happiness and satisfaction in life. Information for future guests The house is cleaned by a professional cleaner twice a week. It is clearly stated that animals live on the property! 24 hour cctv surveillance of the animals activity is being considered, so that any droppings can be eliminated immediately! Awkward owner, maybe in the sense that this couples threats of writing a bad review did not bully me away from the facts. As for being arrogant, well, other guest reviews outweigh this one by 99%.

Rilassante, immerso nella natura

Io, mia moglie e i ns due figli abbiamo trascorso una settimana ad Agosto in questo appartamento e ne siamo rimasti molto contenti. David, il proprietario, e' stato molto disponibile, gentile ed attento alle nostre esigenze. Fantastica l'ubicazione lontana dal rumore, immersa tra alberi di fichi e mandorle. I ragazzi hanno apprezzato molto la piscina, il tavolo da biliardo e quello da Ping pong. Super la colazione !
