Halliards is a beautiful ground-floor apartment at Helford Passage and just moments away from the Ferryboat Inn. The property has stunning views and is as close as you can to the beach. It's recently been renovated to create a third bedroom, and refurbished which has given the space a beautiful and contemporary feel. Decorated throughout in warm cream, and accentuated with rich, modern fabrics and bright ornaments, the owners have created a relaxing haven away from the stresses of everyday life.
Step through the front door and you'll find yourself in a huge open-plan living and dining area. There's a large wooden dining suite which comfortably seats six for lazy lunches, or for playing one of the family games you'll find in the wicker baskets behind you. The kitchen itself is full of brand-new appliances, all within easy reach, and there's plenty of available workspace for preparing picnics or finalising fishy feasts. The living area has two stylish, comfortable sofas with throws and scatter cushions for ultimate comfort. Or settle down in the window seat with a cushion and a glass of cold cider, and watch the boats on the river. These French doors open onto the private terrace where you'll find a outdoor furniture and a barbecue. There's even a Trachycarpus Fortunei on the patio which will fool your colleagues into thinking you've gone Mediterranean!
Back inside, you'll find the master bedroom has a king-size bed and a large built-in wardrobe with ample drawer space. There's a set of singles in the second bedroom, and adult size bunk beds in the third. No wardrobe in these rooms, but plenty of drawers.There is a walk-in shower cubicle, as well as a separate restroom with a loo and hand basin. You'll find the tumble dryer in here, as well as a drying rack and a heated towel rail, so your towels should never be damp.
On another note, Halliards is relatively disabled friendly. There is a ramp access leading to the French doors with a slightly raised sill, and the whole flat is on one level apart from one step into the shower cubicle.
New storage heaters make this apartment a great choice for an an autumn or winter break. Enjoy a brisk walk around the headland, and head home to a snug apartment for a hot coffee on the window seat, watching the waves on the river as the light settles around you. Close the curtains against the twilight and settle down for a restful, cosy evening, chatting with the family, and planning the next day's adventure.
For bookings of one week or more, we'll have a welcome pack ready for your arrival - a bottle of locally made Helford Creek fruit juice, Cornish filter coffee, Smugglers tea, Cornish biscuits, a few sugar sachets and a pint of milk.You'll have use of the heated, outdoor swimming pool during the season. There is a returnable £100 deposit against damages on this property, plus one designated space in the residents' car park. Please note that you will need to leave your car in the car park and walk down a flight or steps to access your property. You can, however, drive through the complex for unloading suitcases and shopping.
As an added bonus, we now supply one bath and one hand towel per guest, free of charge.
