About the property

The peace, tranquility and ambience of the location cannot be described - it has to be experienced, along with views of Loch Ness, the mountains and the forests. There are several local woodland walks around the house, with wildlife including deer, red squirrels and pine martens. The village of Foyers is within easy reach, with a village shop & post office, a pub and the famous 'Falls of Foyers.' This side of Loch Ness is also ideal for cycling. Within 30 minutes drive is Inverness, or the tourist attraction of Fort Augustus, where various boat trips can be taken on the Loch.

The focus of the house is on light and space. All rooms on the ground floor lead off the central hall, with its vaulted ceiling and chandelier, glazed walls and double staircase.

The house has been designed to accommodate an extended family and has various communal areas - a large kitchen/diner, sun-room, cosy snug/TV room with wood burning stove & 5.1 point cinema surround sound system, and a glazed first floor gallery with views of the loch. The hub of the house is the central hall, with a full size snooker table.

It sleeps up to 12 adults in 3 double and 3 twin bedrooms. One of the twin rooms is on the ground floor with an en-suite shower room to accomodate elderly or less mobile guests. In addition, a cot is available for very young guests.

Outside space is provided by a first floor balcony accessed from the gallery, a front deck accessed from the snooker hall, and a large patio at the rear for barbecues. There are also gardens, which are kept as natural as possible, with a path up to a viewing point and bench at the rear of the property.

Perfect for a Loch Ness family getaway!

The house was clean and spacious with wonderful views of the loch from two of the bedrooms upstairs. There were many amenities, including a large flatscreen TV, movies, and books as well as a coffee maker, dishwasher, washer/dryer unit, and a fully stocked kitchen.

My family of 5 enjoyed being able to spread out and enjoy walks to the Loch and easy trips to the nearby attractions.

We would definitely book this property again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, scenic vacation on the famous Loch Ness!

Gorgeous and luxurious chalet

We were a group of 9 spending a long weekend at this cottage. Certainly the best place to stay on Loch Ness! The cottage is immaculately well kept, the pool table proved to be a lovely treat, luxury soft linens provided a great nights sleep. Besides that the cottage has everything we could need in terms of amenities. Finally the complimentary local scones were a delight.

Great stay in a very lovely house

The house is just perfect. We were 12 including 5 children and everybody had space and private bathroom for each room which was well appreciated.

The kitchen is very well organised and the snooker is definitely a +.

Our stay was fantastic we could just regret it was only for a week.

Una buena casa al lado del Lago Ness

-Se encuentra la casa ubicada entre Inverness y Fort Augustus al lado del lago Ness (Loch Ness).

-La casa es muy grande con 6 habitaciones y otros tantos cuartos de baño, como dice la propiedad en Internet.

-la casa estaba muy limpia y que buenas instalaciones, hasta un billar de un tamaño muy grande.

-La propiedad ha estado en contacto con email y su trato ha sido siempre correcto,

-Si que es una casa recomendable para mis amistades, con el único problema que las carreteras en Escocia son muy malas.

-Lugares de interés son el mismo lago Ness, Inverness y Fort Augustus, donde se pueden encontrar restaurantes, sin embargo la casa tiene una cocina muy grande y muy bien instalada, por lo que comprando en un supermercado se pueden preparar según el plan del día desayunos, comidas o cenas.

Hay que tener en cuenta que la casa es hasta para 12 personas, nosotros éramos 8.

I have translated them into English as best I can, so other guests can read them:- The house located beside Loch Ness, between Inverness and Fort Augustus is very big with 6 rooms and many bathrooms, just as it says on the Internet. The house was very clean and good facilities. If I was to recommend the house to my friends, the only problem is that the roads in Scotland are very bad. Places of interest are Loch Ness, Inverness and Fort Augustus, where you can find restaurants. The house has a very large, well installed kitchen, so groceries can be bought in a supermarket and be prepared according to the plan of the day breakfast, lunch or dinner. We must keep in mind that the House is for up to 12 people, we were 8.
