Located on a working croft just 5 miles south of Inverness, Marantha Cottage is an ideal base for exploring the Highlands. Close to local amenities yet in a peaceful, rural location, the cottage enjoys stunning views of the Strathnairn Valley.
Maranatha is ideal for wildlife lovers and families as buzzards, red kites, roe deer and red squirrels are all frequent visitors to the garden. Guests can sample eggs from the free range hens, visit the sheep and cattle in nearby fields and feed orphan lambs in the spring.
There are a range of wonderful day trips from the cottage, such as the Moray Coast beaches, Loch Ness, Culloden Battlefield and the Cairngorms National Park, where activities include skiing, hillwalking and mountain biking.
Golfers can play at a number of top courses including Castle Stewart, only 20 minutes away. Shooting and fishing can also be organised for guests at an additional cost.

Anne & Donald are great hosts. The "cottage" is a semi-detached, attached to their house. Comfy & homely two bedroom house only a few miles from Inverness (Daviot East), but off the main through-fair.
We stayed for 2 nights with our 2 children and it was perfect. Very clean, comfortable and well equipped it provided a great base for around Aviemore and Inverness areas. Only thing is don't rely on the Sat NAV for finding the property!
Anne and Donald were fantastic friendly hosts and made our daughter's birthday truly memorable by taking the kids to feed the sheep. We will definitely look to stay again if visiting the area again.
We were surprised at the beauty of the surroundings. The sheep and chickens right outside the door was a nice touch. It was very quiet and spacious. Anne and Donald were very kind and gracious.
Lot of space available, very clean and tidy, warm ospitality and very familiar atmosphere
Fully recommended both for adults and/or families
Thoroughly we enjoyed finding everything you need for a comfortable holiday. The hospitality of the owners was very friendly and outgoing.
Do not follow sat-nav directions. Follow the A9 about 5 miles south of Inverness, take the B9154 (signposted Moy and Daviot East) for approximately 1 mile. Continue around a tight bend and take the first road on the left, signposted Dalroy. Follow this road for 0.6 mile until you see three houses - a white bungalow on the left and one on the right, and a large sandstone house with a balcony. When you reach the large house you will see a tarred driveway level with the road on your right and ‘Maranatha’ on the gatepost.
