An excellent welcome is always provided by the hosts. The cottage is extremely well appointed and comfortable. All the facilities anyone could need.
For the third successive year, we stayed at Craobhan Cottage during the October school holidays. The weather was dry and sunny for most of the week and the scenery stunning. Our hosts, Danny and Annette, were as friendly and welcoming as ever: available if we needed them, but otherwise unobtrusive. The cottage is clean and tidy, possesses all of the amenities modern life demands, accommodates 4 persons readily and enjoys great views over the Cromarty Firth to Dingwall and Alness. It is situated sufficiently far out of the village of Culbokie to offer a degree of seclusion, if desired, but close enough to allow easy access to the amenities offered by Dingwall and Inverness. We had a wonderful, restful week's holiday and intend returning next year.
The cottage ticked all the boxes. The hosts were extremely hospitable. Even the weather was perfect.
welcoming and friendly... difficult to find but well worth the search. Lovely to watch the wild life. The welcoming pack was much
This is our second visit. It is a lovely cottage with very friendly and helpful owners. The location makes it very quiet and peaceful. - we even had red squirrels visiting us in the garden.
This was our second visit to Craobahn Cottage and we were not disappointed. Once again we received a warm welcome from Danny & Annette and were able to feel at home immediately. The cottage is well equipped, comfortable and in a beautiful setting providing the ideal "get away from it all" location that we enjoy, whilst enabling us to easily explore the Black Isle and other lovely areas of the highlands. We are already booked to return.
From Inverness follow the A9 north over the Kessock Bridge to the Tore roundabout. Take the third exit north towards Thurso and Wick and continue for three miles. Turn right to Culbokie on the B9169. Drive through the village and turn right beside the football and recreation grounds as you leave the village. Continue for approximately 1.5 miles and then turn left towards Culbo. After another 1.5 miles take a left at the Craobhan Cottage sign. Follow the road round to the left - the cottage is a short distance along the private track.
