3 bedrooms, 3 baths, sleeps 10 also full sleeper, queen air bed
This was our summer home when I was growing up, in the late 80's my Mother remolded, and added on to the exiting cabin. She then sold her home in Arlington, Va and stayed there the rest of her days. I love sharing this place with people for I have lots of fond memories.
Owner purchased this House in 1956
Why Owner chose Amissville
This house was handed down to me. My siblings and I learned to swim in Lake Wilson and fish in Lake Mosby. We had lots of good times down on the river, We have had a wedding, and numerous pig roasts and of course lots and lots of picnics.
What makes this House unique
Great place to make family and friends memories!

Peaceful, homey retreat.
Never met nicer, more attentive and thoughtful hosts. Yes, hosts. Not property managers. Met us at the door and gave us a tour of the home and property. Went above and beyond to make our stay perfect.
Miss Kitty's Place
Merriler and Randy were so attentive during our stay. The home was perfect for our group, and was so clean. The property was beautiful and well taken care of. I would recommend this home to anyone who would want to stay in this area.
best family vacation stay ever
My whole family loved our stay here. Ten of us, four couples and two adult singles stayed here for almost a week in order to attend a family wedding in the area. It was quiet, clean and felt so much like home we were totally happy, and will return!
A lovely, peaceful and comfortable house with lots of character and charm.
This was a lovely break for us. Merilee and Randy met us at the property. They were very kind and helpful finding us a map of Virginia and advising us about local trips. We spent 2 days in the Shenandoah National Park on trails which was delightful. We also visited Fredericksburg and Mount Vernon. We regretted not having more time as we would have wished to go to Gettysburg also. There are walks around the immediate area of the property, down by the Rappahannock River and the lakes. Lots of local bird and wild life.
Great getaway place
The house is situated in a fantastic location and featured good living accommodations for our group. Abundance of wineries in the area was a bonus. Merilee was a fantastic host and always maintained positive contact with us and facilitated any of our needs, to include ramps for one of our wheelchair disabled persons.
We try to make our guests feel at home. And you and your party were perfect guests and are welcome back anytime.
Had a great time at this beautiful home. Perfect location for exploring the area. The home had everything we needed for our stay. Met the owners who were so nice and and asked us to please let them know if there was anything we needed. Very comfortable beds. Beautiful scenery from every spot on the property. will be back for sure!!
Glad you enjoyed your stay while you visited your childhood stomping grounds
