Just a few miles to either Camelback or Jack Frost/Big Boulder ski areas where you can enjoy snow tubing, snowboarding, skiing, skating, and snowmobiling for all your winter fun.
The house is ideally situated less than two hours from New York City and Philadelphia in a four season recreational community. Locust Lake Village offers five lakes and many recreation areas for your enjoyment. The village also offers swimming beaches, fishing, and boating on three of the lakes. The house is nestled in a heavily wooded half-acre lot, within walking distance to the largest lake - Locust Lake. Bordered by 21,000 acres of state game lands makes this a true retreat.
The house has an open floor plan with a large open living/kitchen/dining room area that comfortably fits a nice size group yet cozy enough for small gatherings. Two sets of sliding doors lead to the front porch. A door next to the fireplace opens up to a screened sun porch - an ideal place to enjoy your warm summer days!
Me , my husband and our dog Gizmo just got back home from our 3 days/4 nights mini getaway. Wow , what a place !!! So charming , you are completely secluded from the outside busy world. Its a beautiful and quiet Lake community .Air is fresh and trees keep this cottage in a nice shade. House is clean and very cozy .It has a very welcoming vibe. Kitchen is big spacious and very open. Bedrooms are comfortable and the beds are clean and neat as well. Bathroom is clean and the shower curtains along with tiles are clean , no soap scum or molt which means that this place is well maintained. Everything about this little hidden jam is great: screened porch where you can play games , listen to the music, dance , talk , have wine and just hang around the house . We grilled a lot and we barely left the property but if in case you forgot something at home , CVS , WaWa and local supermarket is a short ride . Restaurants, liquor store are near by as well. Lake itself is beautiful and the views are very romantic , picturesque and very tranquil . You will enjoy your stay there . There are sheets there but we brought our own , just in case .This house has also a washer and dryer which is super convenient. One of my favorite things about this house is a nice and wide fire pit on the backyard. Last night we were sitting by the fire pit and it was a perfect ending to our short vacation. Mark, the owner described his property very accurate in the description .You can call him or text him anytime you have questions and he is very responsive, polite and easy to do business with.We are definitely coming back to this house ! Mark, thank you very much for letting us stay in the house and in the future we are planning to rent this house again!

Lovely lakes, very relaxing - great swimming and kayaking. The owner was very accommodating. Bring your own sheets and all kitchenware, and of course, a picnic basket for your days at the lake.We were able to bring our dogs and their crates, and we had a great time.
Now I know why the host's paperwork said "bring your positive attitude". The pictures are a bit misleading in terms of the bedrooms. They are musty and all the furniture is very old, and the mattresses were very uncomfortable. The house was clean but it didn't look or feel like someone had been there in a very long time. That said, the common space is very nice (looks like it was recently updated) and the kitchen had all the supplies that we needed to cook meals throughout the weekend. The community had a great sledding hill and fun events that we didn't go to but it was nice to have the option. The house did lack some general things like dish soap or laundry detergent, which you will need to bring. Also, I highly recommend you bring your own linens (the host will tell you to bring towels), the house had tons that you probably won't want to sleep on as they are very worn and musty (we washed them first). Overall we had a great stay because we were with great company who made the most of the weekend but I would not stay here again unless dramatic improvements are made to the bedrooms. The host was very responsive and pleasant to deal with throughout the entire booking and check-in process and returned my deposit promptly, which was great.
My stay at the Poconos was very enjoyable. The house was very easy to get into and check out. The house
had all the comforts of home, including all utensils for
the kitchen, so we could cook any meal we liked. The
bedrooms had TVs in them for late night watching. The location of the house was excellent, walking distance to the lake. The community was very nice and clean.
