Perfect location and comfortable accomodation
At just 200 metres along a path to the beach, you couldn't get much closer which is very important when you have 3 toddlers in tow. The bungalow itself is a great layout for two families and the lack of stairs meant even my 23 month old nephew could roam free. The bungalow has a very lived in feel but it is clean and welcoming with lots of homely touches. I think we will be back 😀
We found the accommodation as we expected and it allowed us a comfortable stay for a few days R&R. A quiet place to get away. Thank you.
Thank you for your positive review of our bungalow . I am glad that you had a good time there and hope one of your party in particular felt better after their stay.
An extremely relaxed and relaxing holiday home
Very efficient booking and joining instructions. The bungalow is very relaxed and informal and comfortable to stay in; not high-end luxury, just comfortable. Well supplied and fitted out with decades of owners possessions - everything (including pantry supplies) needed for a simple holiday
Thank you so much for your nice review of our property- it means a great deal to us that you had a good stay and enjoyed yourselves.
Stayed before, fabulous location
Owners are lovely, good communications. Cottage is in a fabulous, peaceful and very scenic location. Lots of room, board games & videos for kids if a rainy day. Lovely big garden and views. Clean and comfortable. Everything you need. 5 minutes car from Borth high street and 15 minute drive from Aberystwyth. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Excellent.
Thank you so much for your lovely review [again! ....as I seem to remember you left a good one last year too]. So glad that you had a a good holiday.
Best wishes, Fiona .

Nearby Borth (1.5miles) is an old Victorian seaside town strung along the seafront with a range of traditional, cafes, fish and chip shops, and art and craft shops. Upper Borth beach has an area of rockpools which are great for children to explore as well as an area of beach supervised by lifeguards in the summer season.
Machynlleth and Aberdovey lie to the north along the beautiful Dovey estuary. The former is a charming market town [markets on Wed am], with the Celtica experience, Centre for Alternative Technology and Raptor centre nearby. Aberdovey is a very pretty seaside town.
For wildlife lovers the area is unsurpassed, with the Borth Bog wetlands/ Dyfi nature reserve, and sand-dunes surrounding Ynyslas supporting rare and prolific wildlife, the RSPB/Osprey project at Ynys-hir, and the Red kite feeding centre at Nant-y-Arian. Ravens, peregrines and seals can be seen on cliff walks south of Borth, and dolphins are commonly sighted in the bay.
For walkers there are cliff walks, farmland and forestry commission, the beautiful Reidol valley, and the stunning mountains of the Plynlimon range and Snowdonia.
There is golf at Borth, Aberdovey and Aberystwyth, [all good 18-hole golf courses] and a smaller charming 9-hole course [pay and play] at Capel Bangor, a few miles inland. Fishing, swimming, surfing [lessons at Borth], sailing [Aberystwyth/Aberdovey], and horse-riding are all available.
For children there is an Animalarium at Borth, a butterfly farm at Capel Bangor, and the fascinating Llywernog silver mines in the hills near Nant-y-Arian where you can go underground like miners of old. The Reidol narrow gauge steam railway runs out of Aberystwyth along the valley to the waterfalls at Devils bridge- a great day’s excursion.
The larger town of Aberystwth [20 mins by car along the scenic coast road] has a wide range of impressive Victorian buildings, shops, supermarkets and restaurants to suit all tastes. There is a cinema, leisure centre, good museum, castle, pier/promenade, and excellent theatre/gallery [at the university] which puts on very good summer productions.
All in all this area of west wales has something for everyone who likes getting out and about!
