Experience all that North Wales and Snowdonia National Park has to offer in this wonderful traditionally decorated period townhouse, combining elegance with contemporary comfort. This welcoming, bright and spacious, well-equipped house is beautifully furnished. The Entrance vestibule leads into a high ceilinged hall, from which you can gaze up through the banistered stairs to the further three floors, containing 4 lovely bedrooms (2 en-suite with 2 further bath/shower rooms), with wonderful Four Poster Beds sleeping 8. In the front of the house is a large drawing room, with a big bay window, next door is the quiet sitting/reading room overlooking the back courtyard. Downstairs you will find the contemporary & well-stocked kitchen, with adjacent large bright and airy dining room with French doors at either end to a small french style courtyard out front & a larger walled garden out back.

This character house is ideally situated in a quiet street by the harbour, yet minutes from the bustling square, with Caernarfon Castle, a World Heritage Site, begun in 1273 just at the end of the street. There are also wonderful walks/rides along the coastal/cycle path straight from the front door. Here you will discover there is far more to Snowdonia than just the mountains – and your stay here will ensure you are cosy and cosseted not matter what the season.

Free parking outside the property on a first come first served basis; you can also unload outside the front door and plenty of car parking space is available nearby, within a 5-minute walk . We provide two Free Parking permits for the car park. There is a lockable shed to store your bikes or other equipment in the walled garden, with additional rear access to the lane at the rear of the property.

From the moment you walk through the front door taking in the fresh sea breeze, you will sense the tranquility and calm as well as a sense of anticipation in exploring all this stylish house has to offer.

Imagine relaxing in the drawing room after the days adventure, then gathering there together to plan the evening activities.

The well-stocked sitting room invites you to curl up and read a book, play some games or the peace to take that well earned knap. We have maps of the many walking and cycling trails in the area, as well as information about local art galleries and events.

Catch the morning sun with a coffee or late breakfast in the enclosed courtyard garden or lounge back with alfresco cocktails on warm summer evenings.

Enjoy conversation whilst sharing the cooking in the modern well-equipped kitchen, with beech block worktops and large Range double oven gas cooker.

Then share great food, wine and company whilst you go over the days exploits in the bright dining hall, with roaring fire and traditional welsh dresser.

Snowdonia captivated us on our Summer Holiday 2009, when visiting friends and retracing geography fieldtrips! On the way home we realised we wanted to create a new life in this stunning part of the country. So we left our senior management roles to live a better quality, slower life in one of the most dramatic and beautiful parts of the UK.

As part of this transition, we imagined, created and now run a successful personal development business –To enable people to create the life they have imagined. As part of the business we offered accommodation to enable clients to really experience something different.

We had such great client feedback, and soon realised how much are clients enjoyed their stay and that we had a natural talent for creating great holiday experiences. This has inspired us to extend our offer, in line with our principles, and provide authentic high quality and distinctive holiday home experiences here in Snowdonia. Our aim is to ensure our guests have a wonderful holiday and for us this starts with special touches, such as our welcome hampers, so we provide the experience we would like when we go away ourselves.

We discovered this amazing Victorian Townhouse whilst on one of our regular cycling sojourns to Caernarfon from our home along the cycle path on the Menai Straits. We fell in love with it on our first visit, this charming and peaceful house felt like coming home - having owned, restored and lived in wonderful Victorian townhouse in Cardiff for 8 years.

Indeed a criterion for such a property was creating a beautiful home we could live in ourselves (which we intend to do one day!); as we believe we know what makes a special place offering an authentic and aesthetic experience.

What makes this house unique

We know this lovingly refurbished Victorian Townhouse, with original features is a joy to live in – an experience in itself. A treasure trove of antiques and art, decorated and equipped with attention to detail, with the four-poster beds being the icing on the cake!

We are perfect for groups of extended family, or friends, reunions, or special celebrations and you will receive a warm Welsh welcome (Croeso) with a 'hamper' to get things going!

Combine this with the opportunity to explore and discover this stunning and dramatic part of North Wales makes it a very special place, where memories are made, that you’ll want to come back to!

Beautiful, versatile house in central Caernarfon

Lovely, querky house but with all modcons made for a very comfortable stay. Very clean and well maintained. Lots of space for everyone to spread out. Owners very helpful and informative. Spent Christmas here with the family but hope to go back in the future and have a chance to explore the area further.

Just had a great stay at Hafan mor. Martin and Kim really made us welcome and allowed us to use the cottage as if it was our own. It's in a great central location in Caernarfon and close to lots of other locations around north Wales. Will certainly be returning for another stay.

Excelent place!

We been with 7 friends and is a amazing place. Martin and Kim are very polite, everithing was perfect how we accord. The rooms and bathrooms are very confortable, the kitchen is perfect for 8 guests. The house is inside the wall of the castle and everything is very close (supermarkets and bars). If you go to explore north Wales this home is perfect for your trip!!

We had a great time in Wales and in Caernarfon, the accomadations where great, beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is excellent with any cooking item you need provided. Also the fresh eggs, bread and wine was very much appreciated. Thank you!

Ideal location, excellent kitchen and comfortable rooms

Really enjoyed it being right in the centre of town. Bedrooms were warm and comfortable, bathrooms clean and in good working order, basement kitchen and dining area really spacious and well kitted-out if a little chilly. The outside area was compact but tidy. The parking permits are valid for the long-stay car parks which are about a 4-5 minute walk away, but unloading from the street outside is fine.

Lovely suprise in the middle of beautiful coast scenes

Booked this property for six nights, 2 adults and 3 children. First class communication immediately after booking much appreciated. The travel, instructions for getting the key and parking very well thought through. Huge house for five people. No guarantees for children but my three kids loved it. Bathrooms are modernised, kitchen excellently equipped. Located next to all major supermarkets where I could walk within 5 to 10 minutes. Certainly the key to North wales. Thanks Kim and Martin. Home away from home for sure.

Royal Caernarfon is one of the major towns in North Wales; the magnificent castle dominates the harbour and waterfront, towering over the gleaming swell of the Menai Straits, set against a dramatic mountainous backdrop. The castle is arguably the best in Wales, with history showing it was one of the best defended. This bustling, enchanting Royal town has plenty of independent shops and a nearby supermarket. There are plenty authentic eateries, where you could dine out somewhere different every night, as well as find favourite spots for a lazy breakfast or alfresco afternoon tea. Mooch around the arts centre, maritime museum and Roman Fort or spend a night out at the theatre or cinema.

You’ll get to know the intimate walled town by strolling through the passages and walkways. Find the steps down to the harbour to while away a few peaceful hours crabbing or sea fishing. Relax at the end of a days excursions, sitting on the harbour wall, smelling the fresh salty air, listening to the gentle lapping of the waves against the wall and watching the boats glide by, silhouetted in the setting sun.

Excellent road networks with easy access to local beauty spots, mountains, coastline and numerous coves and sandy beaches.

Excellent walking, climbing, cycling, mountain biking, watersports, bird watching and golf courses. Llanberis and the base of Mount Snowdon is just a 15 minute drive away.

Caernarfon is the ideal place to use as a base for exploring the wonders of North Wales. Visit the castle and other historic buildings nearby, including National Trust Penrhyn Castle, Conwy Castle, Plas Newydd and Beaumaris Castle on nearby Anglesey. From Caernarfon you can take a boat cruise on the Menai Straits, take the historic Welsh Highland Steam Railway through the mountains, visit the villages in Snowdonia National Park, and, if you’re up to it, climb a mountain or two, including Snowdon, the highest peak in England and Wales. If you’re not up to the climb, you can take the mountain railway to the top instead.

The Isle of Anglesey with its ancient standing stones, beautiful beaches and little coves with old fishing villages is just across the water, easily accessible by two bridges. Wales has a magnificent coast walk which follows the entire coast around the country, including around Anglesey.
