About Linda

We have been property owners (long term rental homes) for over 30 years. We fell in love with Estes Park and the mountains and wanted to spend more of our time here. We purchased Pine Cone Cabin in 2004 and it has been everything we had wanted in a vacation home. We now have the wonderful opportunity to share our home with our special guests and see the joy they find in the Estes Park and Rocky Mountain area!

Linda purchased this house in 2004

Why Linda chose Rocky Mountain National Park

Pine Cone Cabin is in a unique location. Located on a private, in-town, road. Close to all of the attractions, restaurants, shopping, coffee shops, and RMNP, yet you have nice privacy and a truly beautiful setting at the cabin. You will be staying on your own piece of the mountain and will love the surroundings!

What makes this house unique

The beautiful, private, location, yet close enough to walk to town is so unique. Kind of the best of everything! Comfortable for couples and families.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We really enjoyed out stay here. The highlight of our whole trip was watching 15 elk walk by the cabin on the little path next to the cabin. What an experience!

Made vacation in the Rockies memorable!

  • 5 of 5

Loved staying at the Pine Cone Cabin! Enjoyed sitting on the deck and drinking coffee and relaxing in the hot tub after a long day of hiking. Lots of space for our family. Clean and cozy. Would definitely return! Only bump in our trip was when the power went out due to a downed power line and we couldn't locate flashlights. Luckily it came on right as we were putting the kids to bed, so it worked out. Highly recommend this cabin for your trip to visit Rocky Mountain National Park!

Our stay at Pine Cone Cabin was excellent.

  • 5 of 5

The house is cozy and comfortable, nice deck and hammock, beautiful views, fun hot tub, comfortable beds, plenty of TVs, convenient location.

Linda was really nice and very accommodating. Just wish we could have stayed longer.

Thanks for a great getaway!

Good but seemed smaller than anticipated

  • 3 of 5

It was a nice location being close to town, but there was a lot of noise from the traffic. The VRBO seemed smaller compared to the pictures on line. The kitchen table took up most of the room in the kitchen and could not all sit together for a meal. The pieces/ decks were wonderful.

Owner's Response: Pine Cone Cabin is located on a privately owned mountain road, so traffic could not have been an issue. 2 homes on the road and I own both. The home is exactly as pictured and square footage is accutate on the listing. In over 40 years of renting homes I have found the very, very, rare guest that is impossible to please. This was one of the very few. It really hurts my feelings to have an unjust review, but something else was going on in this person's life and she would not have been pleased with anything, no matter what, period. She kept saying things were broken, they weren't, she was just not using them right. Made trips to show her things. Just not someone you would want to rent to if you knew ahead of time. It's a beautiful home and location.

Pinecone Heaven

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful stay once again at the Pinecone Cabin! We attended a wedding at the YMCA this time, so it was very nice to be able to stay conveniently close to that in a place that felt like home. We really enjoyed that we were close enough to walk into downtown Estes! We would definitely recommend to others, and hope to return in the future!

A great place for kids and adults

  • 5 of 5

I'd like to thank Linda for being so accommodating. The cabin had every condiment you might need. The location of the cabin gives you Estes Park without having to start your car. The cabin sits on a hillside above Estes with a panoramic view of Rocky Mountain National Park. At night the roar of the Big Thompson river will lull you to sleep. The hot tub was nicely maintained a plenty big enough for the 5 of us. The only negative is the dresser in the Master Bedroom. There are no slides so watch your toes. Overall, a great experience. Weather was perfect and the cabin was relaxing. I forgot to mention, there are 5 TV's so everyone was happy. I would stay there again.

Everything that I wanted!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here in early June 2016. This comfy 3 bedroom, 2 bath cabin is perfect and a good value. It's an easy walk to downtown Estes. The hot tub was a great after a day hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well supplied with everything we needed (included a coffee grinder). Nice outside grill that worked well.

And Linda was awesome. She was responded quickly to all my questions and was always helpful.

I would highly recommend staying here.
