In 1995 we bought this old cottage and its original name was “Il Corso” (The Path), because it was a site that everybody used as a path including the ancient Romans. We have begun to renovate the house trying to maintain as much as possible its original structure, that probably dates back to 15th century, and on our wedding day, July 1997, we came to live in this big for only two people! This cottage is surrounded by nature that is its predominant element and feeling part of it is very gratifying. Later we decided to rent part of it, not only because it was truly too big, but also because we wanted other people to enjoy so much chestnut trees, the deer in the early morning along the path, the sunset of the evening that lights up the contours of the surrounding valleys, the panoramic swimming pool that is accessed through a walkway adorned by lavender in bloom, a variety of multicoloured butterflies, the smell of the mosses, the intense yellow colour of the brooms and the lively red colours of the rosa canina (commonly known as dog rose). In this setting of peace and tranquillity, it is possible to find a perfect harmony between nature and oneself and even easier for those that wish to share with us the experience of the sahaj meditation, in other words spontaneous meditation. Other people before us have lived in this place and we wonder if they were aware of how fortunate they were to live in such a wonderful place as we are, a magic place that satisfies all senses.

What makes this Farmhouse unique
For us , Villa il Corso it's a special place. You get up in the morning , you seat outside in the garden for your breakfast while you hear only birds. Or you take a walk on the wild paths surrounded by wild flowers , so marvellous. You are far from the city noise , away from your problems, from your bad thoughts. Just enjoy nature and remind yourself you are connected with such beautiful green world.

Beautiful peaceful location, glorious views, sunrises and sunsets and complete rest. Heaven!
After the crowds and noise of Venice and Florence it was a real joy to climb (and climb!) up through the hills to find Emily and Fabrizio’s amazing home looking out across the mountains tops. We had a wonderfully warm welcome and instantly relaxed under the trees listening to nothing but birdsong -and promptly decided to book two extra nights!
The House was really well equipped and comfortable and nothing was too much trouble for Emily who pointed us in the direction of local gems to visit. The best we found was Marco’s in the tiny square at Monterchi, where we ate and drank delicious local food and wine under the trees.
We were a little too early to make use of the pool situated above the house, but it must have one of the best views of any pool in Tuscany.
We look forward to coming back again, for longer and with friends, to really recharge the batteries, maybe even write that novel...
Thank you both for welcoming us to your very special place.

Classy property wonderful hosts
We had a wonderful week long stay at Casa la Loggia. The property is classy and prettier than the pictures. It was a nice location to visit hill towns and we spent three days just relaxing and taking walks nearby. Cosetta and Fabrizio are charming and generous hosts. When we entered the apartment there was a bottle of wine, tomatoes and zucchini from their garden, olives, cheese and salami to welcome us! They were helpful with local information and fun to talk to. These extra touches made our stay more meaningful. While relaxing we enjoyed our bird watching hobby and saw Red Kites, Goldfinches, Wheatears, Blue Tits and Robins. We had been traveling for nearly three months in Europe, mostly renting apartments, and this is the nicest we’d stayed in. This property and Cossetta and Frabrizio are real treasures!
Very nice place, beautiful view!
This is really a very beautiful place to stay! Cosetta and Fabrizio are very kindly and do everything to make your holiday a success!
Outstanding Casa la Loggia!
This place is really worth visiting with its beautiful location, amazing scenery and outstanding facilities. I highly recommend this place for particularly you who never visited this area of Italy!
Home away from home
Vera and Stefano want to share this special recommendation with you!
We stayed at "Villa Il Corso" many times and we can guarantee that if you want to escape from the noise, traffic and overall stress of the city, plus truly enjoy nature in a rustic setting as "one of the family," this is the place for you.
Making "Villa Il Corso" your base, you can easily visit historical towns and villages in Toscany or just hike around and take advantage of this unspoiled countryside.
Cosetta and Fabrizio, your hosts, welcome you and want you to enjoy "your home away from home."
A pleasant place to spend your vacation
'Villa Il Corso' is a pleasant place to spend your vacation. In summary ' ViIla Corso' stands for silence and rest, a perfect view on the hills of Umbria, a very nice swimming pool on the top of the hill, a smart accommodation and last but not least : friendly and helpful owners.
Excursions to cities (as Arrezzo, Siena, Firenze,...) are certainly viable. Even in the nearby area there are interesting places to visit.
Attractions:The Valley, a mixture of art, history and nature offers a glimpse of that Tuscany and Umbria which are only partly known and where there is no mass tourism, where peacefulness andenjoyment of life follow the rhythms of nature. It happens that the tourist who goes in search of Arezzo, Monterchi, Sansepolcro e Caprese Michelangelo will follow the same route as Piero della Francesca in the journeys he made for his work. The famous renaissance painter, who came from this area, is a rare case of a great artist who continued to live and work in the place where he was born. His major works are in Arezzo, Sansepolcro and Monterchi. Caprese Michelangelo is where the great artist Michelangelo was born. In this area there is also one of the most beautiful mediaeval village of Italy, Anghiari , and not far from Arezzo there is Cortona , an incredible etruscan city with such an incredible view that reaches the Trasimeno lake.valtiberina : experience the warm evenings, abundant vineyards and olive groves, welcoming people, medieval hill-towns and gastronomic delights.
