Car: not necessary

The apartment is well located in a quiet and full of green area, just few minutes from the Vatican and the heart or Rome. There is a bus station 50 meters away from the apartment, from there you may go to any direction. It takes 5 to 10 minutes to go to the Vatican and to the historic centre. If you travel with your car or you plan to rent a car in Rome, there is a private parking right under the building.

In the immediate proximity of the apartment there is the most beautiful part of the Villa Doria Pamphili park... you can easily get there within few minutes of walking and enjoy the beauty and the serenity of the largest park in Rome.

The Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino airport is well connected to the apartment as well. In the area there are shops, supermarkets and banks.

It is the right compromise between the tranquility of a residential area and the proximity to the historical center of the Eternal City.

Bit down-at-heel and a long way from the centre of Rome

  • 2 of 5

The apartment block is rather down-at-heel - grubby carpets in the foyers and corridors and dirty walls. The apartment itself is also rather tired and in need of redecoration. The sofa bed is quite uncomfortable and the single bed is both short and narrow. Bedding smelt rather sweaty. The shower hose also broke on us and wasn't replaced during our stay. The swimming pool was nice, but note, it is only open from early June. The tennis courts are neglected - weed infested and uneven. It's quite a long way by public transport to the cente of Rome - 15 mins, excluding waiting-time, by bus to the Vatican; twice as long (and two buses) to the Colosseum. On the upside - there's a super bakery 10 mins walk away that serves freshly baked croissants 18 hours a day. There are also a couple of good restaurants - one next door to the Crowne Plaza and the other opposite the bakery.

OK, but a bit tired

  • 3 of 5

Pick up from the airport went very smoothly. The apartment was clean, but a bit scruffy and under equipped. Only 2 (non-matching) mugs without chips, no bread knife, only one other sharp(ish) knife, no tea towels, broken washing machine drawer. Although we did not order a welcome pack, the only condiment was half a bottle of red wine vinegar. At one point, both lights in the bedroom did not work, and only one got fixed. Despite several phone calls, we did not get working WiFi all week, which was a major inconvenience.

The keys were explained incorrectly, resulting in us being locked out of the main building on our first evening.

That said, it is in a good location for catching the bus to the centre or to the metro. It's lucky that we knew we were staying during a national holiday and the buses were on a holiday timetable, as this was also not pointed out to us. We also struggled to find a nearby Tabaccharia that stocked the weekly bus ticket that we wanted.

A bit more attention to detail, such as unchipped crockery, more visitor information, basic condiments, and this could be a much better apartment.

Really good!

  • 5 of 5

This flat was an excellent opportunity for 3 reasons :

- the place itself is very clean, there is everything you need

- the location is really good : the area is quiet and green the bus stop is 2 minutes away, so you can be in the center of the city within 15/20 minutes.

- If you come by car there is a private parking area for the residents

We had a great time!

The housing environment was realy niceand firendl

  • 4 of 5

The building entrance was nice, neat, and clean. The apartment it self was good and mostly as was described in the advertisement. Few thing while I was there showed up--needed maintenance, and the management were responsive and fixed what ever is necessary in due time. I was notified prior to moving in of Wi-Fi problem. I had a car and did not use public transport, but bus stop was within 50m of housing entrance. The car parking was ample and easy. I and my wife enjoyed the stay and do recommend it for small families.

Perfect for a summer visit in Rome

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay in the apartment, it was the perfect combination between a hot cityholiday and possibility to relax at the pool. The apartment was clean and nice(as in the pictures), the kitchen very well-equipped. It is in a quiet area with good bus connections to the city (Bus 98, 881, and bus 889 to the metro Cornelia) and the busstop is very close to the apartment. Shopping(food) 15 min. by foot or 5 min. by bus. The poolarea was very nice and fine.

The staff was very nice, helpful and easy to get in touch with, they brought us an extra bed and they tried to fix the wifi, which didn't work.

We would like to come back and will recommend the apartment to families travelling to Rome, when it is hot.

Great Experience

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed a week in this apartment just a short bus ride outside the center of Rome and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was nice and gave us a quiet place to come back to each evening after a long day of site seeing in Rome. In my opinion his staff have the utmost integrity and moral character. The most exceptional part of our visit came after we returned home to find that my daughter had left her $300 Itouch in the room. I called Gianluca and asked if he could look for it and to my surprise a week later he called and said his cleaning staff had found it. His office held on to the Itouch for a couple of weeks until I could arrange for its pickup. What a refreshing story in this age of so many people doing the wrong thing. Thank you so much Gianluca for saving me lots of money and making my 12 yr old daughter very very happy.
