Wonderful! Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this beautiful home the last week in Oct. and it was more than we expected. The pictures are great, but really don't do it justice. It snowed the 2nd morning we were there. Didn't eat in Marshall, but heard the Bistro was very good. The drive to Ashville is about 25 minutes. We took the train trip out of Bryson, but if I had it to do again, I probably wouldn't as the views from the deck at the house are prettier than any we saw on that trip. Joan has put much thought in the comfort of her guest.

A Surprise Retreat tucked away perfectly

  • 5 of 5

Surprised my family and friends with this place. Had every intention to drive back to Asheville for a day and do activities but this cabin provided so much to do that no one wanted to leave. We enjoyed our stay, listened to the French Broad River, and never felt cramped. A wonderful location with a wonderful owner. Very responsive and helpful. Everyone that came on this trip said how they wanted to make this a yearly trip.

Awesome view from this stunning cabin.

  • 5 of 5

We were a little intimidated by the drive to the location AT FIRST. We were greeted by wild turkeys, a deer and a cow in the road.....yes, a cow......and beautiful views. When we popped over the hill on the driveway, a magnificent view opened before us behind a beautiful cabin. This was our first stay in the Asheville area. I can say it will not be our last and this cabin will be the first place we check. I spent most of my time just sitting on the back deck overlooking the river. The cabin is very clean and well stocked. There are plenty of NICE bathrooms. The kitchen is great for cooking and conversation. It is decorated very classy. There are many small luxuries that are throughout. Towel warmers and heated bathroom floors etc.. The beds were very comfortable (I especially enjoyed the pillows). The basement was great for the young ones in our group as well as the hammock hanging just outside. We had a group of twelve and everyone had their own bed and there were still pullout beds available. I really can't stress enough how much we enjoyed our stay. We have stayed in multiple cabins over the years, including one that we are staying in for the rest of our trip in a different state, and this cabin is by far our favorite. The owners were great to communicate with throughout the booking process. Very responsive to any questions we had, including some recommendations on local eateries. If you don't mind a little bit of a drive up a mountain, pack some food to prepare and get ready for views and relaxation. Only about 30-40 minutes to The Biltmore Estate. In my opinion, you don't need to look further than this cabin right here!

This cabin is a great place to stay with plenty of room for 16!

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our long weekend stay. Marshall is a cool little town, but we did need to venture out a bit further for groceries, though everything we needed was within about 10 min. The layout of the cabin was nice and accommodated our needs very well.

The water at the cabin did have a bit of an odor, but it did not hinder us from our trip. Bottled water is probably a good idea for drinking purposes.

This is a great place to stay if you need to get to a spot near Mar's Hill for any activities. Weaverville was also a quiet town to find some food and bakery items.

Excellent View Great House

  • 4 of 5

Wonderful house great for good size group. Bedrooms are all huge and the view is spectacular. If you do stay during the winter be mindful of the weather the drive in is slightly treacherous if you show up at night. Outside of the drive in this house is amazing.
