These houses are all a combination of the antique and the modern, since the current owners decided to start restoring these centuries-old buildings in the late 1960s. The restoration reused as many original materials as possible, which you can still see in the different houses today. They are integrated into the area's natural setting, which strikes a marvellous balance with the Apennine mountain habitat. If you would like to experience traditional Tuscan ambience then you will certainly enjoy staying here. The culture-rich cities of Lucca, Pisa and Pistoia are an easy daytrip from here. Florence and Siena are a bit farther away. You will find many authentic little mountain villages in the immediate vicinity, which are definitely worth a visit. A swimming pool was installed on the estate for its guests a few years ago, and La Antica Casa has its own aboveground pool as well. This estate will be a great discovery for families with children, as it is situated in the midst of nature with lots of play options for the kids.

Borgo Migliorini is nothing short of a magical place. An hidden gem tucked away in the beatiful Abetone mountain, it provided a marvellous frame for our wedding which we hosted here in mid-June. Blessed by fabulous weather, our guests raved about their stay in this cabin and were just mesmerized by the beauty of it all. The cabins are built with ex-novo materials salvaged by the hamlet's owner, who descends from a long line of illustrious artists and put his very soul in the restoration of this hamlet by scattering pieces made by his ancestors over the centuries. If you are not too fussy about things being polished, are a nature lover and rustic is your style, look no further. Great value for money.
friedliches Refugium im Wald - toll!
Ruhige Lage mit eigener großer Terrasse,
schattig in einem Kastanienwald gelegen,
einfach, aber mit Stil eingerichtet; extrem netter und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber;
