This modern and comfortable three bedroom holiday home offers luxury accommodation in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. Ord Ban is located in a quiet street in the scenic town of Aviemore, with picturesque views to the Cairngorm Mountains, and is less than a 15 minute walk into the town centre.

The accommodation has been finished to an extremely high standard, with a colour scheme that reflects the Highland palette of hills and heather. Ideal for those seeking peaceful surroundings in which to unwind, Ord Ban is also perfect for those in search of an active holiday, with secure storage for bikes and winter sports equipment.

With the UK’s largest National Park on your doorstep there are a variety of activities on offer, such as skiing, hill walking, wildlife watching, mountain biking and kayaking. Families will love the array of attractions nearby, from osprey watching at Boat of Garten to the Landmark Forest Adventure Park at nearby Carrbridge.

A good place to stay

Great location in Aviemore, close to local amenities and not too far from the town centre. Brilliant base for all the outdoor activites in the Cairngorms. Actual house was good with a decent amount of equipment and facilities.

A very nice property in a good location, the area is very quiet. A great location for cycling. My only negative comments being that the TV / Digital box failed on the 4th night, there were no instructions for the cooker. There was no floor brush available and the vacuum cleaner was not very good.

Worth considering but compare prices carefully

As usual my first requirement is that the property is clean and the bed linen is fresh and this property scores full marks for both. It is a modern 3 bedroom house with an ample garden and a useful outside shed for mountain bikes etc. has good Internet speeds for the area and a decent dining kitchen. Located at the edge of the village it's very quiet and yet has a small supermarket and two takeaway establishments within easy walking distance, the village centre is a bit of a longer walk though. As with any property there were a few niggling points like the washer dryer didn't seem to dry and had no instructions. Bunk beds in the third bedroom were more suitable for children than adults and two double beds in the other rooms meant less flexibility than if one (or both) was a twin and the gas hob had no auto lighter or safety cut off which meant that I had to be very careful not to let the kids near it. My biggest issue was that the price charged was, at the start of the school holidays, a bit too high in comparison to other properties but as I had left confirming dates late, I expect this is why it was still available. Overall I feel that a few minor changes would definitely help improve the overall experience, but if the owner wishes to maintain returning customers at that price point a few upgrades would be needed.

Lovely house, very spacious and comfortable, Our only criticism would be the cleanliness of the fridge and freezer, also one of the covers on the sofa was worn and ripped which was quite disappointing, that said we would rent this house again.
