The Owner purchased this villa in 2015
We first visited Turkey in 2011, holidaying in Olu Deniz and immediately felt a connection with this beautiful country and the friendly people. We have since visited Antalya and Kalkan but were always drawn back to the all year round buzz of Fethiye and Uzumlu. We chose Uzumlu for it's traditional Turkish village atmosphere and stunning views. It's proximity to Fethiye, the coast, airport, were a bonus along with the slightly cooler climate.
Having viewed numerous Villa's we fell in love with Huzulu Ev for the seclusion and privacy backing directly on to the forested hills. It is a well designed and built Villa offering character and comfort. We also liked the safety aspect of the pool with it's sloping entrance ideal for children and non-swimmers.
For us the scenery is key, we love walking and always look forward to exploring the hills, mountains and forests in the area. Discovering the hidden monuments and history of the area is a bonus too. We wanted somewhere we could use at any time of the year and Uzumlu and Fethiye are both active all year round.
But we like beaches too and there are several within easy drive or via the regular and inexpensive buses.
Fantastic villa, everything you need and more supplied, the location is magnificent, if you are after a complete restful, peaceful holiday then this is the perfect location and villa to enjoy it in. The villa is even more beautiful than the photos show, excellent service, contact and advice from the owner, the village has some fantastic restaurants if you don't want to hire a car. Definitely would love to return, the pool and surrounding area is amazing, also the wildlife, it's not every day you have a tortoise come for a walk round the garden!
The villa was the cleanest property I have stayed in.You have to actually be there to know it is even better then in pictures. We could not fault the villa, pool, garden, furniture fixings or appliances.I would recommend this villa.
At the foot of secluded wooded slopes overlooking the charming Turkish village of Uzumlu, Villa Huzulu Ev is located near to the famous Turquoise Coast and the magnificent Taurus Mountains. Some of the best beaches in Turkey are nearby, such as Olu Deniz, Calis and Patara.
Sailing, diving and all other watersports are just 20mins away in Fethiye. And if you're looking for more energetic pursuits, there are a whole range of activities - from paragliding to river rafting - available right on your doorstep.
The densely wooded mountains are directly behind the villa, containing many ancient Roman/Greek sites, as well as the superb rugged scenery of the Turquoise Coast and the Lycian Peninsula; forest slopes and fast flowing rivers - including the Xanthos - and gorges such as Saklikent.
The area has shaded paths and cooler mountain air, the wooded slopes around the villa are a great for walking, and the famous Lycian Way is close by. This is a great base for visiting the ancient Lycian cities, now lying abandoned on the hills and in the valleys of the region.
You can even walk from the villa through the surrounding woods to a number of carved rock tombs from the Lycian period, over 2500 years old, scattered on the hillsides nearby. And for adventurous walkers, the ancient ruined city of Cadianda is waiting to be explored on the hill's around the villa
