Casa Rovira is a solar powered, 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom rural tourism property with pool set in it's own estate. The property can comfortably accomodate up to 8 guests in a secluded but easily accessible location close to Calaciete and Valderobres. Guests have the use of a landscaped infinity style pool with sunloungers overlooking the valley. High speed internet is available at no extra cost to ensure you can share your holiday experience with your friends. All day to day essential groceries can be bought in the nearby villages which are a 5 minute drive away with larger supermarket chains located a further 30 minutes away. Reus Airport is a leisurely 80 minutes from the property with a beautiful drive through olive groves and mountain passes.

The casa is solar powered with a backup generator and access to water from a storage tank fed from an underground aquifer. The house was designed by a local architect to be complementary to the surrounding landscape.

Spacious house in a very peaceful setting

A perfect location to relax with lovely villages to explore nearby. The house was well equipped and offered plenty of space for us to relax, eat and entertain ourselves. The pool was lovely looking out into the beautiful countryside. Communication with the owner was very good.

Wonderful relaxing holiday off the beaten track

The property is well positioned looking out on almond groves and distant mountains. At night the clear skies provided spectacular views of the milky way and thousands of stars. The villa has four decent sized double bedrooms and a large kitchen/dining/lounge area. The swimming pool is also a good size and there is a covered area to escape to when the sun becomes too hot. The nearby towns of Calaceite and Valderrobres are well worth a visit, as is the city of Zaragoza. Another highlight is the vulture observation centre at Mas de Bunol near Valderrobres.

On the down side, and the only reasons for not giving 5 stars are - when we arrived we had a wait of 1½ hours to be let into the property, only to find there was a hidden key; the kitchen lacked good equipment, we had to buy wineglasses and a bbq, and we could not get the oven to work; and there needs to be more basic information for visitors on local attractions, nearest supermarkets, and where to dispose of rubbish.

But as said this is a superb location and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

A fantastic holiday in rural Spain.

The isolated location and self sufficient nature of this property may not be to everyone's taste. However this house and location suited us down to the ground. The house is big and airy with plenty of towels and linen. The pool is great and the children spent most of the holiday jumping and splashing in and out of it. We loved exploring the nearby villages and walking at El Parrizal. We would definitely come back.

amazing, beautiful, well equipped

Villa was so well equipped with more than you'd expect for a holiday rental. Ample towels,linen, pool toys, really well equipped kitchen, loads of outdoor seating. View spectacular. Just perfect.

Poorly equipped

The house is poorly equipped, and does not benefit from any air, There are no ceiing fans, not enough sheets or towels. The solar panels do not meet the demands of a large household.

Great place to be

If you look for silence this is a must to go.The house is beautiful included in the landscape with a great view to let your ideas flow.We stood in Oct/Nov 2017 here and had a lovely time.The house itself is very comfortable and all the things you need for cooking, relaxing, heating is there.A must is to have a car as you are far away from the next tiny little towns, which have their own Spanish charm. The recommendation we received from the owner and his friends were more than useful and all in all it was absolutely uncomplicated with them. Thanks to Craig, Sandra and David for giving us such a nice stay.
