Need of Repair and Cleaning Issues
Need of repair: Hose by hot tub is constantly running, won't shut all the way off Ice machine in main house is frozen up Fan in the downstairs bathroom doesn't work Front left burner on the stove in main house doesn't turn on. only one light bulb in master bathroom. main storm door needs adjusted-difficult to close. Cleaning_ Open candy was left on one of the chairs in living room and crumbs under couch cushions, Dirty towels were left hanging in downstairs bedroom. All of the dehumidifiers were full and the one in the main kitchen smelled foul. Hot tub water level was low and was not clean.

Juneau Estate
The house was perfect for our group, it was exceptionally neat and clean and had everything we needed. The location is close to town but far enough to be peaceful and quiet. We really loved the setting, it is surrounded by beautiful trees and wildflowers and the views were amazing! I would definitely recommend this place.

Very Clean. Close to Downtown
The house and apartment were very clean. We loved how close it is to downtown. The only issues we had were some confusion over where to park our 3 rental vehicles and I guess we didn't read that there's no air conditioning. We had some trouble figuring out how to turn the heat off in both places. We had to open windows to get some cool air in. We did have to wash towels a couple of times and the apartment didn't have bath cloths, but luckily we brought our own. We're not sure if the hot tub was in working order but we did see some technicians servicing it during our stay. I understand not wanting smoking in or near the property but they really should have some area for smoking because people do smoke, it's just a fact of life. Overall, we really enjoyed our time in this property and we'd book here again.

Wedding Week
Our family of 10 ( 6 adults 4 children ) gathered in Juneau for our daughter's wedding. This rental was perfect for our needs. We rented the house & apartment - which provided plenty of room for all. The location is close to hiking trails & an energetic walk to town! We enjoyed the hot tub after many of our outings & the kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies. Thanks so much for everything

Disappointed
The property and location was very nice. This was my first time renting and actually being able to stay in a vrbo property. We rented the same property last year but had to cancel due to pandemic. But, the oven, microwave, and wood pellet stove didn’t work. This made it very difficult to spend time together as we could not cook meals on site. The wood pellet stove had an error code that indicated it needed required maintenance, thus wouldn’t work. We were looked forward to being able to warm by the stove after coming in from the he rain. It rains a lot in Juneau. I’m disappointed, it wasn’t better as I planned this trip for two years.

Why they chose this property

Places to eat:
Juneau isn’t known for its fine dining. Having said that, when graded on a curve, the following are all excellent.
Within walking distance (and in ascending order of formality/fanciness):
Tracy’s Crab Shack, Seong’s Sushi, The Rookery, Twisted Fish, Salt.
Somewhere in the middle is In Bocca Al Lupo, an Italian place with wood-fired pizza.
The Sandpiper is a breakfast favorite of ours.
Coppa is a coffee shop, with homemade ice cream and weekly flavor specials, pretty close to the house.
Farther afield: The Island Pub on Douglas serves beer on tap and pizza. Zereldo’s, a 15-minute drive away in the Mendenhall Valley, is as good as Juneau gets.

What makes this property unique

Things to do:
You couldn't ask for a better location in Juneau than this lovely combo property. Lace-up those hiking boots and hit Flume Trail or Mt. Robert's Trailhead that starts just 1 mile away from this property.
Continue outdoor exploration when you book a fishing tour or cruise through Tracy Arm to gaze upon the mesmerizing blue hues of calving glaciers. This home sits within a 2-mile drive of a variety of tourist offices, so everyone is sure to find something alluring!
Get up close to these living glaciers with a guided hike in Mendenhall Valley. Located 15 minutes north of this apartment, the Mendenhall Glacier, waterfalls, and diverse wildlife are waiting to impress travelers of all ages.
If you're a museum-goer, you won't want to miss tours of the Juneau-Douglas City museum or the Alaska State Museum. Feed your appetite in the heart of town at the Red Dog Saloon, Rendezvous, or Hangar on the Wharf.
Hike! Go to the top of Evergreen Ave for a beautiful walk along the Flume Trail. The Flume leads to Mt. Roberts, Mt Juneau, and Perseverance trailheads. There is also great hiking at our local ski hill on Douglas Island, across the bridge.
Go whale watching or take a boat tour up the Taku Inlet.
Visit one of the beaches on Douglas Island.
Rent SUP boards at Blue Nose Surf or sea kayaks at Alaska Boat and Kayak Shop. Or rent a motorboat/skiff at Panhandle Power Boats.
Organize an adventure from the cruise ship docks downtown(e.g., zip-lining, dog sledding, fishing, and helicopter glacier tours). The tram for Mt. Roberts also boards here.
I'd like you to please see a movie. We have a tiny, family-owned repertory theatre downtown called the Gold Town Nickelodeon. There are also two other theaters playing new releases.
Go for a Tasting at the Alaskan Brewery in the Lemon Ck. Neighborhood.
